I remember where I was that day: Fort McCoy, WI, for intelligence training. The whole post observed a moment of silence.

Sad day. I was working for a CA public employee union at the time and had to leave because they were celebrating and refused to lower their flag; I couldn’t stand it.

RIP President Reagan. There will never be another one like him, and the nation will be the worse for it.

I was driving home from Bangor, Maine when I learned of his death. I pulled off the road on to the shoulder and cried.

One of the few times my daughters ever saw their Dad shed tears.
While I was happy that he was released from a frail and sickly earthly tabernacle, I mourned to see how far this country had fallen since he was POTUS.

They were actually celebrating the passing of Ronald Reagan?? How sad that some people can’t show any basic respect due to political differences.

RIP President Reagan.
A great man and a great President.

Our loss is Heaven’s gain. You’re home with the Almighty now, Mr. President.
Many of us have never forgotten you and what you did for this country.

I recall GWBush made an announcement from France, it was a Saturday morning, I put on a white dress shirt, got my 48 star flag out and put it in the window and cried.
I feel fortunate to have known the time Reagan was President. What a great man and he willed this country to greatness. As they said in Europe in August 1914 - the lamps have gone out and may never come on again in our lifetime.

Thank you for the pictures, thread, and comments.
Let us remember God is present ever with us. Let us pray for America to stand and not be allowed to be changed for the worst.
Is anything too hard for God? Let us turn to Him in faith, humble faith He will answer sincere faith and prayers for peace, and for America to stand strong and brave and continuing in our CONSTITUTION as it was written and intended.
America’s success over the years is testimony of God’s presence and blessing on America. Let us continue in the same. It works, we do not need to change it!!! Praise God! In Jesus name we pray, amen.

I think of his greatness every day. (Having Reagan Foundation calendars helps :)
I also consider myself so blessed to have begun adulthood during his presidency.

I was happy he was no longer in pain and dealing with alzheimers which is horrible to deal with especially for for a long time. He was with his parents now and of course God. It was a day to think about his positives but also celebrate him finally being with God.

Remember that when President Carter dies. Let’s not show our ass that day like the liberals did with President Reagan.

You should have seen the traffic jam on Hwy 101 the day Reagan’s funeral procession went through!
Months later, when we went up to the library, we had to walk a mile because there were so many cars parked on both sides of the road going in.
The entire place was packed shoulder to shoulder all day.
