Stating the purpose of your question might be useful if you expect a cogent response. Else, you would appear to be trying to find the stick with which to stir the pot.
I’m purposely comparing Palin to Walker. And asking if it’s a fair comparison. I realize any criticism of Palin will get strong negative reactions from many here, and I respect that. But I think it’s a relevant question. In the coming months many conservatives are going to be wondering who is better as the nominee, Cruz or Walker. Asking the question, did Walker take the heat better than Palin, is a valid measure of his worth as a candidate. If the question is comparing apples to oranges, then it’s good to get that out now too. I’m not the only person wondering about this.
Thank you for making that clear.
Walker took and is taking the heat.
It is not about truth and facts. It is about manipulating through old fashioned story telling. A villain a hero a conflict a solution. Dems know they dont have facts on their side so they go straight to storytelling. Pubs always fall back on facts. Want to win? Take control of the story.
Makes more sense now. Can't answer the question but my sense is that he handled it very well and the guns out for him were a bit different but no less potent due to his dismantling of the union empire.
We heard more about Palin because she was an active WH candidate and most of Walker's really outrageous heat was generated before he was under so much of the spotlight.
I don't think the comparison can be quantified one-to-one, but he seems worthy enough.
My first choice is Cruz, and I look forward to making a donation to his Presidential campaign very soon of rumors are correct about him declaring tomorrow.
I'll support him with everything I have at hand and hope he makes the final ticket. If he doesn't make it, and Walker is still viable, I won't hesitate to try to push him over the top - no matter what many seem to think, we cannot be idiots enough to let 8 years of Obama be followed by another Dim in the WH - it will break the heart and souls of conservatism and produce a lot of ineffectual professional ragers and whiners on our side.
Posturing to create an image of Walker based on who’s against him doesn’t help change my impression that he’s a tool of the establishment.
Excellent post #25. I started out for Cruz, then switched to Walker and now I’m in the fence. I will be following very closely to make my final decision.
Not going to matter in the end...Cruz is now running.
As far as I can tell, the establishment will do anything possible to keep Cruz away from the white house.
Walker could go a long way towards splitting the Cruz vote.
Here's hoping either (or even a twist with both) Cruz or Walker make the final ballot.
Where have I postured?
Wow! You’ve been busy keeping track of the headlines and articles. Walker and Wisconsin conservatives have been under fire, no doubt!
Imagine the things we don’t know from the side of Walker, his staff, and conservative supporters. The stories they could tell...
Luckily, it has only made conservatives in Wisconsin more resolute.
Looking forward to Cruz’ announcement speech.
Cruz guy here, and you're absolutely right. Wikipedia shouldn't be trusted, period.

Hopefully they're on top of this:
WI-SC: The Scott Walker John Doe Probe Hangs in the Balance
"Since the very beginning of Scott Walker's steamroller demolition of Wisconsin and the progressive ideals that this state has historically represented, the liberal members of our State Supreme Court have done their best to defiantly stand in his way.
On April 7th Wisconsin will hold an election that will likely decide the fate of the Scott Walker criminal investigation known as the John Doe Probe. Up for reelection is Supreme Court Justice Ann Walsh Bradley, a stalwart veteran of our battles with Walker who has held her seat for 20 years. You may remember her as the woman Supreme Court Justice David Prosser choked in anger back in 2011."....

The liberal antics in Wisconsin have crossed all branches. The allegations against Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Prosser were amazing theater.
I am actively promoting Judge James Daley, and will vote for him on April 7th. I don’t understand why he doesn’t have more conservative organizational support.
Thanks for keeping all Free Republic’s readers informed on the re-invigoration of conservatism in Wisconsin.
By all appearances, you’re not posturing. You’re just unknowingly allowing yourself to be used by those who are posturing.
That would be the establishment, whose purpose is to get anyone in office who doesn’t have the independence of will allowing him depart from government-run corporate cronyism.
So, you’re down to this argument - that I’m as dumb as a box of rocks.
