Gallup CEO: I May Suddenly Disappear For Telling Truth About Obama Unemployment Rate (Video)
Gallup CEO Jim Clifton told CNBC he might suddenly disappear for telling the truth about the Obama unemployment rate. The real Obama unemployment rate has never recovered and is still above 10%. unemployment obama
Wall Street on Parade reported:
Years of unending news stories on U.S. government programs of surveillance, rendition and torture have apparently chilled the speech of even top business executives in the United States.
Yesterday, Jim Clifton, the Chairman and CEO of Gallup, an iconic U.S. company dating back to 1935, told CNBC that he was worried he might suddenly disappear and not make it home that evening if he disputed the accuracy of what the U.S. government is reporting as unemployed Americans.
The CNBC interview came one day after Clifton had penned a gutsy opinion piece on Gallups web site, defiantly calling the governments 5.6 percent unemployment figure The Big Lie in the articles headline. His appearance on CNBC was apparently to walk back the lie part of the title and reframe the jobs data as just hopelessly deceptive.
Clifton stated the following on CNBC:
I think that the number that comes out of BLS [Bureau of Labor Statistics] and the Department of Labor is very, very accurate. I need to make that very, very clear so that I dont suddenly disappear. I need to make it home tonight.
After getting that out of the way, Clifton went on to eviscerate the legitimacy of the cheerful spin given to the unemployment data, telling CNBC viewers that the percent of full time jobs in this country as a percent of the adult population is the worst its been in 30 years.
And yet they support a government they fear will make them ‘disappear’
“Nacht und Nebel.”
Who would have thought that we would live in a country where people talked like that? Even in jest, it's appalling. And I don't think it's in jest.
The Nazis had a policy of Nacht und Nebel -- night and fog. German citizens who were troublesome would just disappear.
And here we are. Michael Hastings, Andrew Breibart, others. Scary.
GMTA
He may not disappear, but I’ll bet his IRS audit letter is in the mail.

And I’m repeating myself. Sigh!
It is all a veil of lies.
Yup. Add the ole Gibson Guitar treatment...

Tragic. This is what we have come to; prominent citizens openly terrified of their government ‘not liking’ the truth. This executive is dead serious, and doesn’t care who calls him a crackpot.
What is the construction on the capital building? Are they installing a minaret?
good one. could be they have a pre-fab one in the cellar with the hot coals and tongs?
I wonder what the reason is that caused him to quit playing the game?
Its not like this is some new revelation for him,
We all know the numbers are intentionally skewed for unemployment and also to deny inflation/keep interest rates low or else this corrupt crony capitalism house of cards built from 2008 on will fall over as we could never pay down the debt if interest rates ever go above 5% again,
The real Obama unemployment rate has never recovered and is still above 10%.......BS. He tries to make a point but I still say the rate is above 33%. Nobody factors in recent college graduates, recent high school graduates, those who the government transitioned from unemployment to disability, those who lost jobs and decided on early retirement, etc., etc. The unemployment rate is factored on those who lost their jobs 5 years ago( or so) and can’t find a job NOW. IF the real rate was told, it would scare the Bejeesus out of thinking, productive Americans.
Well said,
And Im repeating myself. Sigh!....You aren’t lazy but your ‘Puter is hyperactive. (Smile).
i did search the origianl title using two possible variations, prior to posting the article
