I like to concept of deterring bad guys with the appearance of a reachable weapon, its just that when I reach for it, I’d like it to be racked and ready to fire.
A fake gun would be useful in some circumstances, and lethal to its owner in others.
I was taught that pointing an unloaded gun at someone will get one killed.
I want one. I have a neighbor who has been disagreeable, and it would be fun.
No thanks. I want criminals and others around "not" to notice or see me.
I want any weapon to remain hidden and an undisclosed lethal defense until such
time as it's needed. This gives anybody the upper hand, the surprise factor, which
forces any criminal to hesitate for that split second and allows for acquiring
a target to eliminate the threat. If anybody wants to survive on the street
your best chance is to Not be noticed. They're robbing Gun stores, think about that.

The only time I ever want to look like I have a gun is when I actually have a gun and it will be loaded, cocked and aimed at the threat...
Many folks here in Michigan are beginning to open carry. It’s legal here. No one has taken a loaded firearm, long or short, away from the carrier that I have heard about.
The majority of police here will not do anything about it, and politely ask
you become more aware of the guns position.
Conceal is just my personal preference and seeing anybody openly carrying has
my personal gratitude for exercising their God Given Constitutional right.
A right not available in a state where people think Guns are safe from the law.
not for a man.
To those who do..
You will not shoot your eye out.
It’ll create an interesting problem for cops. When they confront such a guy with one....they will want to confiscate it. But under what law do you take away a guy’s fake decoy gun? There is no such law.
Immediately, the cop will be on record....as the guy who took a fake gun, making him look awful foolish among his peers. Within weeks, he’ll be disturbed about this and likely seek mental health treatment.
Personally, I think it’ll make people start to think about the whole big picture.
Uuuuummm....no...hell no.
1. You are very likely to get shot by an underpaid, undertrained, underballed le on some podunk pd.
2. You are gonna be the first one shot by a serious bad guy.
Even when im toting...im concealed. I dont want the target seeing my firearm till he is about to be dead.
>> I would like to see a video of an overzealous officer attempting to “disarm” someone who is carrying one of these.
However I’d rather *not* see video of someone getting shot by a cop because of one of these.
Birds aside, I don’t see how this can be an advantage. Street savages are not like the little animals that hawks prey on.
Consider how many stories I’ve read: “police shoot chocolate lab”, “police shoot golden retriever”, I don’t want to confuse the police with a fake gun.
Listening to the Pinal County (AZ) Sheriff’s dispatch on the scanner the other night, I heard the dispatcher issue a “Hot” call for a man with a shotgun in one of the more urban areas of the county. You could almost hear the adrenalin rising as the different units rushed to the scene. Running “Code”. Probably 4 -6 cars. Within 3-5 minutes a Sargeant called to tell them to take no further action, there was no indication the man was threatening anyone and just carrying a firearm is not illegal.
Common sense is one of the perks of living in Arizona.
Concealed carry. Open carry. No one really cares.
Brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner might get you killed though.
