Here in Tx open carry is still illegal, I have no idea why.
If a weapon is seen by a nanny who calls the police they're forced
to investigate and interrogate why your weapon was seen by others.
It's a stupid law in a state where conceal carry is legal. Just another
loophole to cause law abiding citizens to become criminals by inaction.

The majority of police here will not do anything about it, and politely ask
you become more aware of the guns position.

Conceal is just my personal preference and seeing anybody openly carrying has
my personal gratitude for exercising their God Given Constitutional right.
A right not available in a state where people think Guns are safe from the law.

Listening to the Pinal County (AZ) Sheriff’s dispatch on the scanner the other night, I heard the dispatcher issue a “Hot” call for a man with a shotgun in one of the more urban areas of the county. You could almost hear the adrenalin rising as the different units rushed to the scene. Running “Code”. Probably 4 -6 cars. Within 3-5 minutes a Sargeant called to tell them to take no further action, there was no indication the man was threatening anyone and just carrying a firearm is not illegal.

Common sense is one of the perks of living in Arizona.
Concealed carry. Open carry. No one really cares.
Brandishing a firearm in a threatening manner might get you killed though.
