On his Wednesday podcast, comedian Adam Carolla dissected the reactions to last Saturdays not guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman trial. Some of the media reaction that followed suggested the justice system had failed Trayvon Martin, the black 19-year-old shot by Zimmerman in February 2012.
Carolla, author of Not Taco Bell Material, reacted to those remarks, saying that in some ways skin color and other physical attributes are something that will have to be overcome.
Im willing to admit theres a certain amount of racism, Carolla said. Its not nearly its not nearly what the news builds it up to be. But lets just say there is, and it is. It seems to be here to stay so about the only thing we can do is bust our ass, keep our families intact, study hard and work a little harder than the next guy.

And the jab at MSNBC is sort of funny.
Trayvon was 19? I thought he was 17 year old child
According to the pictures of the MSM, Saint Skittles was 12 or so.
Adam, didn't you get the memo that statistics, logic, and honesty have no place in a discussion about race?
Besides, Adam, you're white. Your opinion regarding race matters means nothing because you are inherently racist. Get used to it.
If your culture is vomit (and popular culture IS) then what kind of people do you think it will produce?
Just look at the TV, magazines, movies, commercial advertisements, facebook garbage, etc.
Is that wholesome?
“There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved....”

He has a show here in L.A. at the Wiltern in August. Like I told people before, I know people who worked on the Man Show and it wasn’t Kimmel who was the brains behind the show but it was Carolla. The crew didn’t like him much though as he knows how to argue his point, and you just need to ignore the F zingers’.
Adam Carolla has ventured off the plantation.
Look for his show to be canceled in 5, 4, 3 ......
Have you read his book? It is pretty funny in parts but basically he had a very poor upbringing - I mean dirt poor but pulled himself up and made a career for himself -
Siggy Socky Siggy Socky Oi Oi Oi!
The Man Show was great...especially the girls on trampolines.
I have bought two of his books. Funny reading with a right-on attitude.
