I made no mention of surrender. I just stated the method they will use.

Damn powerful article. Too bad we have to cringe in worry for someone who merely recites our Constitution.

The only question I have is who has my back. I would not give up my guns no matter what - they would literally be pried from my cold dead fingers. But after that what?

If one tries to prearrange backup you are trying to form a “militia” and get raided. Neighbors can always say they will back you but will they really? After they see the jack boots kill you and burn your house, will the neighbors stand and watch or will they snipe from the roof tops?

I have been quietly arranging my own backup. Nothing in writing, nothing in concrete. My guns have all been sold and hidden away. We practice in private, and discuss in private. Nothing in writing, nothing electronic.

I can only count on a handful of close associates and hope that there are similar small groups forming as all this gun control process works itself out.

Should my neighbors come under attack, I would certainly back them up, but I am not sure about the reverse.

It hasn’t happened in America and there is only one now.

Good point about the Jews and others who gave up their firearms under Hitler. People who give up their firearms are dead people.

Article IV Section 4 says "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government..."

An executive order on the people of the United States violates the Republican Form of Government because the order is not the result of representative legislation.

It would be the action of a tyrannical ruler, not one who governs the administration of duly-passed laws.

I agree with the sentiments, but he leads off with several famous bogus quotes.

When talks of U.N. ‘peacekeeping forces’ within the United States begin, that’s when you know gun confiscation is on the horizon. Outsiders don’t have regard for our Constitution (such as 0bama) and wouldn’t have any problem taking privately-held firearms.

I don’t understand how it is legal for Obama to take away a portion of your Bill of Rights by Executive Order. Because he wills it?

It hasn’t happened in America and there is only one now.

It hasn’t happened in America yet. It didn't happen instantaneously in those other countries either. First registration, then confiscation, then genocide. And SOME of it has happened. in NYC semiautos WERE confiscated under the rule of David Dinkins who like 0bama and Mugabe was a corrupt antigun leftest idealogue.

When 30 cops and a SWAT team show up to take your guns, you won’t have to worry about getting more. When you leave prison you will either be dead or so old you can’t get around. In case you missed it, the entire purpose of them taking your guns is to make you helpless to resist whrn they decide that it is time to kill you.

Do you really want to kill some cop or military member that may have a family and is just obeying his CO?

Yes. Absolutely. And with no remorse. They will have made their own choices. The history of the last century alone is enough to identify them with the worst that humanity has to offer. "Just following orders," is no excuse.

My preference, if I am fortunate enough to be able to exercise it, will be to hunt down those who sent them.

The question I always have when this debate comes up is how will they find them... Guns..what guns?

People who don't understand that the whole purpose for owning guns, is to have the means to resist tyranny, crack me up with talk of 'hiding' their weapons.

What exactly is the purpose of keeping your weapons if you're not willing to kill the agents of tyranny with them?

I guarantee taking your money, wages, property will be a very powerful incentive to submit.

You're very right. Given the choice of turning in weapons ... and watching your kids go hungry ... I'm not sure I wouldn't choose to turn them in and find another way.

Unfortunately, when you turn them in but hold one back ... when you shoot the robber on Monday evening with it ... when his brother comes on Tuesday evening you will be out of luck.

“Do you really want to kill some cop or military member that may have a family and is just obeying his CO?”

Funny, why do you not direct that question at him? If he is perfectly willing to do so to me, (demonstrated by his presence in an unconstitutional raid) yes, i would light him up. An order to violate the clearly written rights of Americans is an illegal order. At that moment, he becomes a nazi, or an NKVD agent if he complies. If he is worthy of the uniform he wears, he has a clear, well-understood, legal duty to disobey, with force if needed. Mi Lai is a fine example. Such orders need not be obeyed, and soldiers may use force to stop them.

I feel more sorry for my family than his. He is the one who came to my door looking for a fight. The Nuremburg defense “just following orders” was wrong then, and wrong now.

They don't need outsiders. Most police would happily confiscate your firearms and kill you if you resisted. In Nazi occupied France who did most of the work rounding up Jews for the gas chambers? The French police. They worked hand and glove with the gestapo. Now you say they're French and what can you expect, but they were just as human with the same motivations and feelings as we have.
