Not sure what you mean by “tootsie roll”, maybe a term of endearment? Again you point to an exceedingly corrupt organization as proof of your generalization that all cops would happily take your guns and kill you if you refused to turn them over. It is just not true and your anecdotal references, however grievous and tragic, do not prove the rule. I repeat, the generalization is ignorant. I am not arguing that there won’t be cops who will do the government’s bidding but to suggest what you suggested is just foolish. Know any former or currently serving military personnel? Do you have the same opinion of them as well?
Words mean things. When you make a blanket statement that is bullsh*t it should be called out.

"This is correct. I have never received deployment orders since obama has been in office. Other orders Ive received (ie day to day functioning) would have been given regardless of who was in office. All orders Ive received have been within the battalion and thus I see them as legal orders. Any order coming from obama would be invalid."All Command Authority is derived from the commander-in-chief.
Uphold your sacred oath.

When you make a blanket statement that is bullsh*t it should be called out. I love unintentional irony. Now I;m still waiting for those stories where the police refused an order to confiscate firearms.

and yet
another in a different city. Are they all corrupt? Or is it just the police mindset?

Sweet Jebus, you refer to events in NY, New Orleans and Chicago as the basis of your argument. Yes, corruption in these cities is the order of the day.
Let's review the current discussion and I will write slowly since it appears that English is your second language:
you made a statement that implied that ALL police officers would HAPPILY take your gun and KILL you if you resisted. I called that statement an ignorant generalization. You, in reply, cited events in notoriously corrupt departments as proof of your generalization. My statement is still correct. I did not say that there NO officer would obey the order to try to confiscate your weapons. I DID say that the generalization that ALL officers would obey and, worse, be HAPPY to kill you was ignorant. You have yet to defend the hyperbole of your statement.
Feel free to remain ignorant. It is a free country. At least it is right now.

You left off Waco. I also gave Waco as an example and google kathryn Johnson in Atlnta, but you'll just say those are corrupt too. You're one of those peole who no matter how much evidence is presented will always demand more. Well I quit. Keep your naive and foolish beliefs. AND I'M STILL WAITING FOR YOU TO COME UP WITH A NEWS REPORT WHERE POLICE REFUSED TO ENFORCE GUN LAWS. You have zero evidence to back up your claim. Ask your police sons how they would react to somone they saw carrying a firearm on their person.
After the Germans conquered France, who rounded up the most Jews for the Gestapo? Why it was the French police. In the Soviet Union who was responsible for spying on ,arresting, and executing millions? The police. So unless human nature is different here than in other countries we can all count on the police to advance the will of the government, NOT protect the constitution.

Apparently I did not write my last reply slowly enough because you still seem unable to understand my point.
Your original statement, as written and presented in this public forum, remains an ignorant generalization. Look up the definition of the word “generalization”, refer back to my original comment, compare it to your statement, acknowledge that I am correct and then have a nice weekend.
And, as an aside, both of my sons HAVE contacted people carrying weapons. They have shot and killed not a single person.
Go Hawks!

Apparently I did not write my last reply slowly enough because you still seem unable to understand my pointI understand it well enough. It's just that your "point" is a load of crap. Still waiting for those stories where the police have refused to enforce gun laws. (Crickets chirping)

I give up. You win. I will make more profitable use of my time by talking to the wall.

Vichy French police rounding up "terrorists" (French resistance fighters) for the Nazis. Enjoy your chat with the wall.
