The only question I have is who has my back. I would not give up my guns no matter what - they would literally be pried from my cold dead fingers. But after that what?

If one tries to prearrange backup you are trying to form a “militia” and get raided. Neighbors can always say they will back you but will they really? After they see the jack boots kill you and burn your house, will the neighbors stand and watch or will they snipe from the roof tops?

I have been quietly arranging my own backup. Nothing in writing, nothing in concrete. My guns have all been sold and hidden away. We practice in private, and discuss in private. Nothing in writing, nothing electronic.

I can only count on a handful of close associates and hope that there are similar small groups forming as all this gun control process works itself out.

Should my neighbors come under attack, I would certainly back them up, but I am not sure about the reverse.

It will only take a few incidents such as you describe, to spark a prairie fire that cannot be extinguished. The word 'viral' seems appropriate.

The resistance will develop organically. It won't need or require leadership, though that may come. It will only take a few to take the first step forward, to begin the charge of the multitudes.
