Just think of the fuel bill. Exactly. The “perfesser” needs to get a “do over”. Probably starting with kindergarten.

huge, ferocious dinosaurs that have evolved to have human-like intelligence and technologies.

I would if they've invented a Chevy Volt too.......

Just wait until it gets cold and they den up, then gas them like we do rattlers.

It’s very possible to encounter this somewhere out there in the Universe. In fact, it is a certainty if you consider the Universe to be infinite or nearly so.

I understand the “Monkeys typing Shakespeare” theory but it all becomes possible, even certain, as the number of monkeys approaches infinity.

Actually meeting and seeing them for OURSELVES is a whole other story. Even if both our races master interstellar travel/communication and manage to survive for billions of years, the Universe is so vast that such a chance encounter is still unlikely to occur.

However, I also believe that the Universe is so vast that an advanced race similar to mammals definitely encountered another advanced race similar to reptiles. Multiple times, somewhere and sometime out there.

Our place and time in this universe is smaller than a speck of dust in the desert. Our earliest recorded history only goes back a few thousand years and history from before several hundred years ago is spotty at best for most of the world. Even if they already visited us several centuries ago for whatever reason, we would most likely have no record of it.

Check, Ronald Breslow added to list of intelligent idiots in sore need of critical thinking skills.

We can handle intelligent lizards with advanced technology as long as we have enough ginger.

Plus, we're even more advanced now than during WWII, when they were scheduled to arrive.

On other worlds, dinosaurs could have evolved into huge, intelligent warriors armed with hi-tech weaponry - but without losing their hunger for fresh meat.

I would be more concerned with Herbavore creatures from space, since WE ARE predators they would have an irrational fear of predators and would more likely try to wipe US out to “keep from being eaten”....

I could see them comming here, finding out we eat meat and then deciding that we are uncivilized and then deciding to wipe us out “for the good of galactic civilisation”...

What I'm worried about is vampires coming out of the woodwork like in True Blood.

So, L. Ron Hubbard’s “Battlefield Earth” is a real possibility?

(By the way, the book was great but the movie was terrible.
