Liberalism, (Socialism) always evolves into Fascism. It either gets there quickly, as by Hitler and Mussolini, or it becomes identical to it, as with Stalin, but it can also steadily decay into it, like with the American left. Sooner or later, leftist become indistinguishable from fascists. The biggest difference is that fascists can be honest about what they are, whereas liberals have to lie.

For selected audiences, only...I don’t think Carney or any of his national appearances will tout this.

The people behind this sort of hate campaign are not completely rational. The hatred they display, however, is very real. People need to look more closely, at those who pretend to be the voices of good-will, tolerance & enlightenment. They are often the exact opposite. (See How To Recognize The Bigot In The Argument.)

I must have been out of the loop on this one, because you, xuberalles, are assuming in your post that everyone knows what's already gone down with the Chick-fil-A story.

I first heard about it earlier today on a lefty radio news outlet, to the effect that the CEO of Chick-fil-A announced that he supported traditional marriage. That was followed, according to the MSM version of it, by the mayors of Boston and Chicago trying ban Chick-fil-A from opening up new stores in their respective cities, and then Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum urging all who agree with the CEO to show their support by eating at a Chick Fil-A restaurant on Aug. 1(?)

Can any of you add to the basic facts of this story?

From what I've heard, yes, this is another example of "Liberal Fascism," in particular fascist tactics encouraged by the "gay rights" crowd and exercised by their Democrat pals in public office.

I think this is fine. We boycott JCPenny’s. Why can’t the libs boycott what they want. It sounds like freedom to me.

Governor Palin Calls Out Rahm Emanuel’s ‘Chicago Thuggery’
“Chicago thuggery is a scary thing in 2012,” Palin told me. “For its politicians to think they can muscle businesses and shut them out just because they hold a differing, albeit traditional, view on an issue is a scary thing indeed.”

Emanuel said he would support banning the construction of a second Chicago-area Chick-fil-A because the company’s owner believes in the biblical definition of marriage — meaning a union of one man and one woman.

“Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values,” Emanuel said in a statement to Fox News.

Palin balked at the threats to ban the private, family-owned restaurant from the Windy City.

“With a representative of Chicago politics making these threats, I’d be loathe to support any politician hailing from Chicago who supported Rahm and this radical action.”

Palin said the owner of Chick-fil-A is opposed to redefining the traditional definition of marriage — as are most Americans who’ve voted on the issue.

She said President Obama — until recently — opposed redefining the traditional definition of marriage. He evolved on the issue “when it became politically convenient for him to flip-flop around on.”

“Did these protesters oppose President Obama,” Palin asked.

“The leftwing’s double standard with intolerance of other people’s opinions is quite tiring, yet so expected,” she added. “This is merely more of the same.”

Big difference between a boycott by private citizens versus elected officials using the power of government to suppress a private business.

IMO.

The closest Chick-Fil-A is 183 miles. I bought a beach towel and a couple luggage tags. I wanted a t-shirt, but they didn’t have the one I wanted in my size.

IMO, the Chicago and Boston mayors will come to regret what they’ve said and written against CFA. Their hypocrisy is breathtakingly stupid.

Carrie Underwood said that she wanted equality, but not the word marriage. She still is against gay marriage.

Apparently the food there is good — my cardboard-cutout-liberal straight-ticket-voting Demwit family members crow about having eaten there. I guess they *don’t* listen to National Partisan Radio every day after all.

“We boycott JCPenny’s. Why can’t the libs boycott what they want. ..”

This is different from a boycott. Two mayors won’t allow the restaurant in their city.

Of course the libs can boycott what they want, but let’s also know that JCPenny’s had two homosexual dads in their ads for Father’s Day, and I also heard, two lesbians for Mother’s Day. Chick-fil-A does nothing like that, but one of their executives privately said that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Quite a difference.

But if the libs wants to boycott them for that let them, but conservatives can support them for the unfairness of the situation, too.

Amen!

The Left in the United States has had greater and greater difficulty recognizing that basic principle for more than 100 years in the United States.

It's still is a fundamental of the law of this country, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find judges who have the guts to vindicate it.

Huckabee said he has info on his website, but I don’t know the link. Maybe mikehuckabee.com??

Rick Santorum said his family was delighted when he told them they would be going to the restaurant on the “support” day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I went last week to eat there....that is 6 of us....We will go again this weekend. I love eating there but normally wouldn’t go twice this closely but with the news all Chick Fil A, it reminds me about how much I love eating there so mentally I want to go there and physically we will. This is actually good marketing for Chick Fil A believe it or not. lol.
