I agree with the possibility of what you describe and raise you one. In the Reagan years, we had a program to respond to the Soviet “Line X” program. It was NOT well-known within the CIA, and only Reagan and a handful of his most trusted CIA contacts knew of it. It permitted high tech designs to be “stolen” by the Soviets but this tech had built-in catastrophic design flaws that resulted in gigantic melt-downs after about a year. If, for example, this is something Petraeus and Panetta recommended as part of a “cheap” Iran strat, I could see it.

Second elected traitor. Clinton gave the Chinese ICBM guidance so their missiles could hit us, and the Klystron switch - so they could make thermonuclear and neutron warheads - so that those missile warheads would have something to do when they hit US cities.

While Clinton was impeached for a non-crime, many the the House and Senate were aware of his true crimes, but could not impeach him for treason, since treason is only a crime if committed in wartime against a declared enemy.

So it is for Obama. He is free to give away anything he chooses to whomever he chooses, as long as there is no declared war.

Somebody, somewhere, knows an awful lot more about what really happened they we are being told.

Those secrets are going to gnaw at his (their) conscience until the truth finally comes out.

Until that time, unfortunately, we’re going to suffer through a lot of conspiracy theories and speculation. The WH will never give us the truth and the military is full of people who have forgotten their oath in order to further their careers.

Considering the first report on 4Dec indicated the aircraft was was from the DoD/ISAF, then on 6Dec the reports further clarified this was not an ISAF bird, but instead belonged to the CIA makes me wonder a little.

If a spare intel resource swapped between buddies, then it wouldn’t be surprising if it were held together with ‘baling wire’, and it actually might be the real McCoy.

Considering the lack of discipline from White House down on how to report the incident, I suspect they don’t know what the hell is going on.

Looks like an early variant of the bird that was operational. White House behavior is all too consistent with somebody who doesn’t have a clue, but knows that whatever the solution is it couldn’t be to defend American interests.

That drone probably had a very special payload, Stuxnet’s younger brother. Can’t wait for them to download it and pass it to all our enemies.

The drones may just be a cover story to deflect speculation about something much more amazing. And a captured drone could be a great way to mislead an adversary as to our technical level

That or Hussein is more evil than we thought.

“certain important people have been told not to cross the line or their families will be in danger.”

Concur wholeheartedly. Witness Trump’s sudden dropping out of the race, the Jack Wheeler case, lack of any credible COLB investigation by anyone, etc.

I see three possibilities:

1) Failure leading to the drone landing.
2) Iran/China jamming/overiding the controls.
3) Intentional grounding.

In scenario 1, the question needs to be asked why wasn’t the drone destroyed. If remote control failed, so might the self-destruct, but other options are available.

In scenario 2, we are in trouble.

In scenario 3, we have the advantage.

Once Clinton authorized the sale of the tool and die equipment, anyone with any sense knew he was willingly betraying the US.

I read a story on here a long time ago about a guy who was somewhere that Clinton happened to be. The guy said there was such an overpowering evil about the man that he turned and walked away.

I have been thinking about this for some time. Mika Brezhinski (can’t spell her name) had a tone of voice when ‘questioning’ Boone Pickens about what his earnings are that made me think of something last night—the scene in “Christmas Carol” of the women who robbed Scrooge’s apartment as he lay dead on the bed; in one of the movies, the women sounded like harpyish guttersnipes who would steal mother’s milk from a baby if they could get away with it. These same types of people are now our politicians, press, and ‘activists.’

One word, “Stuxnet”

The technology for flight is probably not a secret. What is in the computer is. Some Iranian computer geek will download the information and bang.

Knowing the CiIA, they probably put an “to download secret data, use cross connect cable” above the USB port.

“our military probably has a really nasty selective Stalinesque PURGE coming in the near future.”

Let’s not forget that our nuclear submarine captains and other ships’ captains have been relieved of duty lickety split over the course of the last 2 years. 0bama is trying to put his assets in place so that there will be NO ONE who will exercise a true nuclear deterrent if/when we are attacked.

Ditto for the 3-letter folks.

I don’t think it needs a self destruct device. It simply needed to be programmed NOT to land in enemy territory. This craft is a technological marvel yet they neglected possibly the most obvious detail.

People here give Obama too much credit. He's a Marxist, but not a very smart one and certainly not hard-working enough to spend the time absorbing the implications of a drone shootdown/failure.

Here is one possibility: the CIA has been planning something like this (or a "B" team within the CIA---remember, many of the CIA are lefties). They go to Obama and say, "Just give them the drone." Obama, not wanting to spend the time or energy to figure out if he's being used, or what the implications are, says, "Ummm, ok. I'm going to play golf."

It simply needed to be programmed NOT to land in enemy territory.

I have a feeling that with all the flaws/viruses they are encountering, that such a program would blow up too many planes.

Failsafe mode is common in most automated equipment.

If it "autolanded" it probably ripped its landing gear off and damaged the underside, hence why they covered it up.
