A couple of days ago Conunderground.com was the first to point out that the circumstances surrounding the “crash” of the top secret RQ170 Sentinel drone simply didn’t add up. And we were tight! The story continues to develop and it doesn’t look good!
To recap, first we were told that Iran might’ve shot it down and then the story changed to “the drone crashed on Iranian soil ”
After realizing that the Iranians were about to parade a perfectly functional drone with nary a scratch on it, the official story changed to “the drone landed because it wants to live” I kid you not that is the official story!
The flack we caught for running the story was typical of the the kind of BS spewed by Obama’s supporters but none the less I didn’t withdraw the story because the official version simply didn’t add up.
The immediate and obvious questions were these: 1) Why didn’t we try to recover the drone? 2) In lieu of a rescue effort why didn’t we bomb it into oblivion? Apparently there was third option and Onama struk that down also.
THE ANSWERS WILL SHOCK YOU – or maybe not. Fox News National Security Correspondent Jennifer Griffin reported that apparently the Pentagon pleaded with Barrack Hussein Obama to give the order to do just that. The Pentagon initially wanted to send a special forces team to recover the drone. Obama shot down that suggestion. Then the Pentagon offered up plan B , blow it to kingdom come. Obama refused that too and now Iran and China have a brand spanking new fully functional top secret US RQ 170 Sentinel Drone.

I agree with you on that. All this technology and there is no mechanisms to remotely destroy it? Sounds like a design flaw!
Whomever would do that would find their career and pensions gone in a hurry.

Not a flaw. I think, if it’s recoverable, they don’t destroy it. But if it is not recoverable, then it’s destroyed remotely.
Somebody gave the military an order to not destroy an unrecoverable drone.
Does Obiwannabe just run around yelling out irrational orders or does he need to give some semblance of a reason for his decisions?

Then again,maybe that's exactly what he does do.
I believe certain important people have been told not to cross the line or their families will be in danger.

None of this makes sense from any angle.
Least of all the numerous obviously bogus explanations which are just a slap at voters’ intelligence ... tell them anything, they aren’t that smart ... seems to be Obama and company’s attitude.

What happened to the “It’s a fake” meme? I will say it seemed odd that the Iranian display completely concealed the undercarriage. ( I don’t recall seeing this mentioned, although I’m sure somebody must have done so. )
It is unbelievable that a device such as this did not have a device on board which would self destruct either on impact or by remote control. But with all the other stupid things our government is doing including the EPA it would come as no surprise. Any one even with only a high school education would have to take such an incident in to account that sooner or later such a high tech device may fall in to enemy’s hands and needs to be destroyed. Unless of course it was designed as a “Trojan Horse” but I am not so sure our government has the capacity of such a brilliant thought. The Israelis may be, our government I doubt it.
And if one of those people so threatened just came out with it and said “screw it, do your worst to us, we’re ready to meet our lord!” and spoke out in a public forum, they would pretty much have to carry out the threat in public as well. That could be the trigger to bigger things. But who has the courage to bait them that way?
Good points. Another thing” I should be SOP - standard operating proceedure to destroy any high tech weapons system that would fall int the hands of an enemy. One of the smart bombs (JDAMS) would have done that.
The following is all merely wild speculation on my part.

It was called Ultra and gave the British access to German morse traffic that was encrypted using the Enigma Cypher machines.
Before they could take action based on the decrypts they often had to send out a scout plane to spot a target such as German submarine wolf packs. This was so the Germans would have a plausible explanation for how the British had gathered the information. Otherwise they would have known that Britain had discovered a way to read their top secret radio traffic.
It is quite possible that we send drones out on missions for much the same reason. We may have much more advanced technical means to gather data. The drones would thus allow other nations to believe we were getting the information from the drone fly overs.
The drones may just be a cover story to deflect speculation about something much more amazing. And a captured drone could be a great way to mislead an adversary as to our technical level. We could get them to believe all sorts of nonsense based on what they discovered in the drone.
If the drone displayed by Iran is the real thing, this begs two questions.
1. Did someone on “our side” land it in Iran on purpose?
2. Did Iran land it because they knew how to control and fly the drone. If that is the case, how in the hell did they get that info?
Actually it makes perfect sense in consideration of the long term plans of those behind Obama.
