Below is an email I sent yesterday to Speaker Boehner.
Speaker Boehner:
The continuing resolutions agreed upon in the recent past and another being considered do not address the root cause of a burgeoning and out of control federal spending problem. Article 1 Section 8 provides the mechanism to balance the budget. Over many decades Congress has exceeded the enumerated powers granted to this body in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution.
Regulating the environment, communications, education, food, drugs, heath, agriculture, alcohol, tobacco, firearms are not enumerated powers granted to Congress. All federal agencies that are not in compliance with any of the enumerated powers in Article 1 Section 8 must be abolished. Agencies that must be abolished include but are not limited to the EPA, FCC, Department of Education, FDA, DHHS, Department of Agriculture, BATFE. All are Unconstitutional on the federal level as those powers listed above are reserved to the states or to the people per the 10th Amendment.
Abolishing these Unconstitutional agencies will not only return the federal government to the limited government principles the founding fathers intended when they wrote the Constitution but also drastically reduce federal spending thereby balancing the budget.
Any other attempt to reduce federal spending that does not require complying with the Constitution is a farce. You swore to uphold the Constitution. That is your primary function. Do your job or the Tea Party movement will vote you out of office come November 2012.

If Boehner isn't willing to shut 'er down over the measely $67 billion or whatever pittance this last compromise was, how does he ever hope to tackle the budget? If not over this tiny little amount it may already be too late.
I don't believe we can wait two more years. Maybe we need a new Speaker today.

Now AT has quite a clear message for the R’s right there.
Someone on their staff will read that, right ?
They a) think the economy and tax revenues will come back because of “”””” the business cycle ???”””” (which is meaningless)
and b) have no idea how bad things are
and c) think that Repubs will donate and vote for any Repub - sorry no
and d) talk about “getting things done” and bi-partisanship which drives conseratives utterly batty - it is idiotic the Fed gov’t is completely BROKE

Congress is as corrupt as the current administration...criminals all.

There is little chance anything done on the budget in a bipartisan manner will work. Who on the left will cut 100 billion, let alone a lousy 60 million?

For the most part the people are becoming very corrupt, too. We are emerging into some very scary times.

Your letter was ok, however, I think I would’ve refrained from saying, “the tea party movement will vote you out of office.” The tea party was hugely responsible for winning the House in 2010, however, it failed to deliver the Senate.
The tea party movement shouldn’t be used or made to sound like the union thugs. While the members of the tea party can put up a more conservative candidate against John Boehner, there isn’t a guarantee that he will be defeated - case in point - JD Hayworth vs. John McCain.
THe Tea Party can only do so much, but, not make guarantees as to who is or isn’t elected.

Exactly... if a politician has to fall on his sword to keep from going against his own conscience, so be it.
THAT would be the best days work (for some
the ONLY days work) these guys ever do.
AND, I would like to add that it is time to do away with the idea of 2 four-year terms for the US President.
Once these guys get into the WH, they rope-a-dope and basically hold the country hostage
while they position themselves for their next term. If the last two Democrats in the WH are not proof of this, Ill buy you a new Cadillac!!!
F&^% THAT! One six year term and then OUT for good!!!

There was no American Thinker, NRO, Red State, Sweetness and Light, Lucianne, Free Republic, etc etc. Folks still got their daily news from a handful of national newspapers or magazines. One of those magazines was recently sold for a dollar. In 95, it was an opinion mover. FreeRepublic - part of history...

The tea party movement shouldnt be used or made to sound like the union thugs.
Since when is voting consider to be the actions of thugs? Thugs storm a capitol, occupy and inflict damage. The Tea Party movement has existed only since February 27, 2009. The amount of influence the Tea Party movement has generated in that short period of time is remarkable but it simply wasn't enough time to make a complete change in Congress.
