Where are the Feminists? First, Ashley Turton, Now Lara Logan
Me | 2/16/2011 | Adam

Okay, I'd like to know where all of the feminists are? Shouldn't they be standing up and demanding answers regarding the suspicious death of Ashley Turton and the gang rape of Lara Logan?

If Bush had been in office, both of these stories would be all over the MSM - and the feminists would be screaming their heads off!

For the record, I feel terrible for happened to both of these women. If you are going to post a comment on here that "It's Lara's fault for being in Egypt", then just get lost.

The feminists are silent because expressing outrage against Muslims would run counter their political agenda.

Nothing new.

The media believes that the Tea Party and conservatives are the real threat and not radical islam.

Cowards. They go after Christians because they know Christians are, in general, loving people. Christians, again, in general, will knuckle under to feminazi pressure. So feminazis can’t wait to attack people they can easily manipulate.

Attacking muslims is a dangerous activity. The State Controlled Media, feminazis and liberals in general have no belly for a real fight.

I unfortunately am not familiar with the story to which you are referring. Would you please recap it briefly, or provide a link? Last week, while I was aware of the unrest in Egypt I was not following the blow by blow. I would be grateful for a small bit of help catching up here. Thanks.

You may have a point. I have no idea of the people you speak of.

If you are going to post a comment on here that "It's Lara's fault for being in Egypt", then just get lost.

Why? A reporter who travels to a hostile region knows full well that there's a very high liklihood that it may be a one way trip, even with the best security measures in place.

There sure as heck wasn't any of the same hoopla in the journalist world when Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig were taken hostage and nearly killed. There are also countless other journalists who were killed or assaulted while doing their jobs. I'll even go so far as to suggest that many on the left were cheering on their captors and hoping that they would indeed murder them, simply because they worked for FOX news.

If there's anything to be taken from this crime, then perhaps maybe it will change the view that the MSM currently takes on these types of savages, especially when they render negative judgements on western culture in comparison with them.

Talking with several very liberal female things I was told that there are some things that are private moments and we should show respect for the families by not politicizing the incidents. One of them did say that the gang that raped the woman were put up to it by Bush's’ CIA thugs.

CBS News’ Lara Logan Assaulted During Egypt Protests
CBS News Chief Foreign Correspondent Separated From Her Crew And Brutally Assaulted on Day Mubarak Stepped Down

* CBS News Correspondent Lara Logan in Tahrir Square moments before she was attacked on Feb. 11, 2011.

(CBSNews)

On Friday, Feb. 11, the day Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a “60 Minutes” story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.

I can certainly empathize with the trauma that Logan went through. However I cannot sympathize with the stupidity that prissy pants women like Logan and Couric thought they could into a highly unstable situation among barbarics armed with a camera and a microphone and be safe. Even armed to the gills and a police academy background, I would hesitate to go into a crowd of hundreds of thousands of men where the majority simply hate Americans. It doesn’t even make sense. But then rarely to liberals have the ability to apply logic or common sense.

As for the femi-Nazi women? They hate men so badly that their agenda includes bringing down the force of the Islamo-fascist regime on their heads. They’re so stupid they don’t realize that when that happens they too will be in peril. Thinking a problem through to it’s total consequences is just beyond them!

In other words, your female lib friends want this shut up because it doesn’t fit into their world view. I should be hearing this pretty soon from my New York friends and acquaintances. Can’t wait...

Really? This is liberalism at its best. No connection to reality whatsoever. That since we are all equal and global citizens I can just waltz right in to any situation and I am untouchable. I have equal rights and am equal to a man. The situation be damned. Pretty female in an angry anti-western/anti white mob well how dare they touch me.

This is the same type of mindset that suggest I can have a pet chimpanzee if I want one. Even though that pet chimpanzee may rip my arms and face off.

“There sure as heck wasn’t any of the same hoopla in the journalist world when Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig were taken hostage and nearly killed.”

Under threat of death Steve Centanni converted to Islam. I have yet to hear him renounce his conversion.

“Before the journalists’ release, a new video was released, showing Wiig and Centanni dressed in beige Arab-style robes. The kidnappers claimed both men had converted to Islam. “We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint,” Centanni later tells FOX.”

You make an interesting point. The entire MSM has been strangely silent as to Ashley Turton even though it is an weird death - the type that should draw headlines.

Probably because he understands that, as another poster mentioned, being armed with simply a camera and a microphone, and even having bodyguards, isn't going to be of very much help when covering places like these.
