Congressmen ask for Obama's birth certificate - U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal and "several colleagues" to ask Obama to release birth certificate
U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal, now a Republican candidate for governor, this morning declared himself in sympathy with those questioning whether President Barack Obama was born in the U.S.A.
The occasion was an online chat the congressman had with supporters this morning. And the question came from Tom Crawford of Capitol Impact.
Do you believe that Barack Obama is a native-born American citizen who is eligible to serve as president? I am asking because your comments on this issue have been a little ambiguous. I would appreciate your clearing this up.
At 9:17 a.m., Deal tapped out this:
I am joining several of my colleagues in the House in writing a letter to the President asking that he release a copy of his birth certificate so we can have an answer to this question."

Like that is going to happen. Obamao is hiding something, and no request from insignificant Congress critters is going to make him give it up.

Is there verifiable proof of that? Or, is that an assumption?
Furthermore, how would that affect his birth status? That is, could that "over turn" his being a Natural Born Citizen (I know he isn't, just saying)?
Now, if he was Naturalized after having come back from Indonesia...then game over of course. But, there is no proof of that either.
What we do have absolute proof of is what he has publicly admitted to and what is publicly known, and that is:
1. His father was a foreign national.
and
2. (Because of 1), Barry was born with foreign citizenship (admitted on his own campaign web site).

Question becomes though...if this member of Congress (& others) send a formal letter to Barry asking him to release his long form copy...and he refuses...are we to believe the Congressmen will simply be OK with that...and that nobody in the media would be "made" aware of that and that the media would sit on it as well?

I believe they'd be fine with it unless it was a request from several hundred members of Congress. A handful will be ignored as fringe birthers, you know.

If you’re really asking, my answer is yes. I don’t know how the Congressmen will feel about Obamao’s refusal to accommodate them with their simple request, but I bet nothing comes of it. Obamao’s response is entirely predictable. As for the media, ...please.
The twentieth amendment, section three requires that a President elect successfully "qualify" to Congress before being allowed to assume office. If Congress fails to do it's duty , then the states, with a law such as this can protect themselves. Since this law would basically be ENFORCING a provision in the Constitution, I don't see how it could be ruled unconstitutional in a court challenge. The best part of this approach is that it can be NOW by any state that wishes to do so on behalf of protecting it's citizens against illegal, unconstitutional Federal dictates.
Pass this and have it apply to the very next issuance of executive orders or signed legislation. Put the legal onus on THEM for a change.

If they have the "balls" (so called) to even do this, which should have been done a LONG time ago...I doubt that they would be fine with a no answer. I further doubt that they would not leak that to the media. Rush has, at least, mentioned the subject a time or two. So has Savage (even more so). I would guess that once those in the media like them, got hold of a story like that, that they would simply bury it.
To date, EVERYBODY in Congress has essentially dismissed the issue. To actually write a formal letter requesting the release, and then to get either a no response or a denial will definitely be political ammo that they would use, IMHO of course.

Our legislators and courts failed us. The term has been so seldom used that few attorneys have a clear understanding of the requirement. But Obama used de Vattel's Law of Nations in a course he taught at U of Chicago. Every Senator signed Senate Res 511 in which the requirement for citizen parents clearly stated. The Constitution, as Obama said in 2001, "prevents me from doing some of the things I'd like to do." At the time he may have realized that his Marxist 5th column could not make him a president because he is not a nature born citizen. The have, thus far, overcome the 'limitation' imposed by the Constitution. Don't be fooled by a Hawaiian birth certificate. Born of the soil is not sufficient. My guess is that the Usurper POS will either ignore the request, or release the forgery that has been floating around the internet for about a year.
However, getting legislation like that passed and enacted into law would probably take months...perhaps even years in conservative states.

In the mean time, what this congressman is (allegedly) doing is a good idea for the short term. So far as I can tell, it doesn't hurt that the request is put in writing by members of Congress. Haven't "we" all been told that only Congress can address this issue? Well, here we go. Looks like some of them will try.
"We've" all been "screaming" for Congress to do something on this issue. It appears, for once, they are. I, for one, will not discourage them in seeking the truth.
ALL of them have broken their oath of office from article Six...
"The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.”
They are COMMANDED to follow the instructions of section three in the Twentieth amendment:
”3. If, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term of the President, the President elect shall have died, the Vice President elect shall become President. If a President shall not have been chosen before the time fixed for the beginning of his term, or if the President elect shall have failed to qualify, then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President elect shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.”
Congress, since it is responsible for naming a replacement President MUST be made aware that it needs to do so or not do so. Otherwise, how would it know whether or not to do so? They name a replacement if one of two things occur, the death of a President elect or the "failure to qualify" by a President elect. In order to establish whether or not a President elect has "qualified", Congress must see PROOF of qualifications. The burden of submitting this is squarely upon the President elect. Anyone serving in Congress has the legal standing to DEMAND to see this "proof" as they are required to do so in the Constitution. They don't need to "beg".
Not enforcing section three of the Twentieth amendment is equal to not supporting the Constitution. They are breaking their oath if they don't enforce it. Unfortunately, they all are guilty. That's why I recommend the states take this matter into their own hands by passing a "Usurper Protection Law".
Better specify "long form birth certificate" or all you will get is the COLB. Also ask for hospital records.
If he somehow got the Congressman to commit to seeking the truth regarding (at least) the long form b.c., then prop's to him.
It could be passed in a week. It's constitutional and would stop a Usurpation dead in it's tracks. In addition, if the legislative bodies don't want to do it, there is always the ballot initiative approach. We The People can do things. Californians, you listening?

Your post #29 speaks VOLUMES as to the state of the country. Certain States are good but others are absolutely as useless as tits on a boar. You know, I know it. I firmly believe that Courts, if they were NOT corrupt, would readily deal with this issue. After all, these judges swear to UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. So why ARE’NT THEY??? Needs an answer. WHO is threatening them or holding them hostage?? What do THEY have to hide? Even personally??
