Depends: is the left in charge or the right?
It would make a difference to the libs you’re asking...

Yes, but only as part of a freedom movement and in response to tyranny.

No. “Protests” should be nonviolent.
Violence comes when all else has failed. It comes when there is no other reasonable choice. It comes when a free People have been forced to be to become slaves, when their country and way of life and treasure has been plucked from their callused hands.
Violence comes when you back a man into a corner and he sees no other way to survive.
Violence comes to you, if you don’t stand up to it’s threat.
Violence comes, it always has and always will.
But “protests”, no. Of course, protests can become the precursor to violence.
I feel the wind of a perfect storm.......

Sure. We’ll get the right permits from the police, make sure the media is notified, show off the guns and our faces on facebook, get the FBI alerted to which twitter feed we’ll be using to coordinate things, get the merchants to post signs as to whether they are white-owned or not, put flags on our cars, drive around shooting in the air for a while, and get some radical fundamentalist preacher to shout at us for several hours on how we deserve everything we are going to take for free because of something someone did to us six generations ago. Then we are going to go out with our cameras and catch the whole thing on video feeds from six hundred different viewpoints and post them all to youtube.

If some government bureaucrat tried to implant a chip in my body, I would get violent, I think.

I believe that folks . . .
in this era . . .
in the context of OThuga being . . . where he is . . .
need to prayerfully consider whether responding to this poll is the wisest thing to do, or not.
It will virtually certainly mean . . . that one is . . .

It comes when a free People have been forced to be to become slaves, when their country and way of life and treasure has been plucked from their callused hands. Interesting article I stumbled across while checking stuff on slavery (as you mentioned.)
Historically, the definition of a free person is a person who owns his own labor. Serfs were not free, because they owed their feudal lords, the government of that time, a maximum of one-third of their labor. Nineteenth century slaves were not free, because their owners could expropriate 50% of their labor.
Today, no American is a free person. The lowest tax rate, not counting state income, property tax and sales tax, is 15% Social Security tax and 15% federal income tax. The "free American" starts off with a 30% tax rate, the position of a medieval serf.
In medieval Europe, when tax rates reached beyond 30%, serfs rebelled and killed their masters.

I've heard Glen Beck, Judge Napolitano, and a few others say the word "Fascist", and then turn right around and discourage militia's, violence, and rebellion. I guess they feel the SCOTUS will pull our chestnuts out of the fire. If the POTUS is breaking the law, burning the Constitution, nationalizing more private companies than Hugo Chavez, and generally destroying our country and it's economy, then we are supposed to bit$h and moan and watch it all fall down. It's time to face up to the fact that between government backed bad home loans, Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare, we have already racked up $100 trillion in debt that we can't get out of. Now we are adding more. Any sober person that knows anything about economic theory is sucking the business end of a .45 if we can't take the country back soon. We had our chance with Bush 43 and the Repub Congress. You saw what a mess that was. Our next chance will be a big win in Congress in 2010. If we miss that, IMHO, there will be trouble. MY predictions will be long term 10+% unemployment, hyperinflation, low food supplies, unusable interest rates, and blood in the streets. People today have no patience with such things. There won't be the "Can't we all just get along" feeling. The only way to avoid these things is to have the same type Congress we had under Newt Gingrich. The Kennedy, Pelosi, Chris Dodd, Bwarney Fwank, Kerry, idiocy of the present Congress is unafordable any longer.
What are the odds?

I realize that all FREEPERS are probably already on various lists.
However, I don’t think it’s wisdom to get unnecessarily on a crazier list.
The only list that really matters to me is God’s list! The Book of Life.

However, I dont think its wisdom to get unnecessarily on a crazier list.Agreed. I, also, think we are already on many lists for simply posting here. I don't really care about that anymore. But it seems to me that there are more and more polls and blogs and websites looking for hits only to collect IPs and opinions in order to build a case against conservatives. I see it in the kinds of vanities posted and questions asked by newer FReepers too. I sense a large increase in information gathering through leading questions as opposed to true personal interest and general conversation.
