What ELSE did God Tell Pat Robertson

Every year Pat Robertson goes on a prayer retreat kind of like his "quality time" with God. This is when the Lord gives Pat those personal tidbits about what's going to happen in the world. This year's tidbit was:

"If I heard the Lord right about 2006, the coasts of America will be lashed by storms," Robertson said May 8. On Wednesday, he added, "There well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest."

Reading this quote got me thinking why God would pick Pat Robertson to talk to. This is a guy who has called for the assassination of the Venezuelan President, prayed for the death of Supreme Court Justices and blamed 9/11 on "gays, abortionists, the ACLU, and the People For the American Way"

I wondered about was the subject matter of their discussion. There's good old Pat, he's going one on one with the creator of the universe for an entire week.... and all he gets is a weather report !? Let's be real. I sure that Pat has cable TV in his house. He doesn't need God for a forecast...he can just click over to the Weather channel.

Of course there was more, and I found out what else they talked about and now you can find out too. Please Read the rest of the story at:

If I remember correctly, God told him that the world was to end in 1982.

Either Pat is deluded, or he is speaking to the opposing side.

God doesn't lie.

What ELSE Did God Tell Pat Robertson

To wear sensible shoes as he attempted to walk on water.

"If I heard the Lord right about 2006......."

Love the qualification.

Since Pat DIDN'T call for assassinating Chavez, the remainder of the conclusions are probably not worth worrying about. But if Pat thinks God talks to him, fine. That's his business.

The site you reference is little different from any other "Bible prediction interpretation" site. Is it your favorite?

Definitely the ACLU had something to do with 9/11. Even now they are out there trying to find some reason to protect the rights of the terrorists and others like AlQaida.

Maybe we ought to look to Robertson as a prophet or something, eh?!

Nope. But Pat Robertson has somehow scrubbed his website of the evidence.

Do your own Google search to find your own personal best.

"But if Pat thinks God talks to him, fine. That's his business."

He talks to me. Everyday. I talk to Him. Everyday.
It's not hard to understand why everyone tries to discredit Pat at every turn, his CBN newscasts are the best on TV. They are conservative, and hold people's feet to the fire. The MSM can't stand having any conservative news getting out to America, so they spend a lot of time trying to make people think if they watch Pat Robertson their surely a whackjob. What amazes me is the number of people on this conservative forum who help them do their job.
For the record, Mr. Robertson never said God told him to have Chavez assassinated. What he said (paraphrasing) was that Chavez is enough of a danger to the US that we should take him out. You know what? He's Right. Maybe a "Preacher" shouldn't be discussing foreign policy, but Mr. Robertson and his organization have done enough good in this world that I'm willing to give him a little leeway.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, it was Falwell who said 9-11 happened because of the gays, and sin in America. I might be wrong about this one but I don't think so.

The Problem is whan a whacko like Robertson does his "Whacko thing" it make all conservatives look bad. So yes we should shun him. Yesterday on his site he said that he could leg press 2000 pounds

I couldn't disagree more. I don't believe he's a "whacko". I believe most of what you've heard has been influenced by the MSM.
I haven't checked his site but don't you believe he could "leg press" 2000lbs. What was the context? In fear for his, or a loved one's life? With the help of God? There's always more to the story, and I don't think we should shun anyone. Especially someone who has done as much as Pat to advance the cause.
The only exception is those who preach hate. The David Dukes of the world are who comes to mind.
If nothing else Pat provides us with a good chuckle every once in a while, and the people you worry about thinking we are "whackos" already do simply because we are Christians.

Years and YEARS ago, I used to respect this man....
He has REALLY LOST IT.
I'm WARY of anyone who says "God told me..."
I'd rather hear "I felt led to do...." or
"I STRONGLY believe that......"
