Washington is getting serious about reports of [UFO's], what the Pentagon now labels as unidentified aerial phenomena or UAPs. There is a long history of such sightings and the increase in such observations could be a sign of things to come.

More recently in America after World War II, the number of UFO sightings spiked, and as a result our government formed a number of task forces to investigate. Perhaps the best-known incident occurred in 1947 when Roswell Army Air Field personnel recovered debris from a "flying disc." However, in 1994 a U.S. Air Force report concluded the debris was from a top-secret nuclear test surveillance balloon.
UFOs/UAPs have long fascinated humanity. Unfortunately, we don’t understand such events.
I don’t dismiss the possibility we are being visited by aliens. Further, I’m quite aware there are things my five senses (sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing) can’t understand, and they may be real like radio waves. For example, I believe there is a very real spiritual domain beyond our senses. You can call them aliens, angels, demons or other.

Are you talking about “BATTLE FATIGUE”?
In medicine/nursing, the same phenom is rampant: One example. they “bed sores” became (I forget the exact order) “pressure sores”, “decubitus ulcers”, “acute ischemic something-something” all in about a 20-25 year period.

These craft are known to travel underwater as well as the sky. And they have been around forever interacting with man both in the sky and in the sea. Jonah was aided by one of these crafts. But with extremely primitive knowledge he would have to compare it with something that it resembled to him.

I keep telling folks, read it all over again with Aliens and UFOs on the mind. They describe aliens and UFOs throughout but with metaphors we can only now make a comparative connection to. :)
No reason to keep it far away.
That’s kind of narrow minded thinking when you think aliens must travel light year distances approaching light speed. Maybe they figured out wormhole type travel. Maybe they’re here but just in another dimension and travel easily between. We send craft to other planets and they crash.. quite often and we see piloted aircraft crash all the time as well.
Thinking our narrow minded beliefs in science, physics and our place in the universe is all there is an odd way to see things.

I understand your concerns here based on accusations of heresy by associating science with the Bible. But with all due respect may I share an observation with you?
I find it strange that almost all threads which concern “science” including UFOs are attacked by the faithful here as heresy, no matter where they are posted. They come and try to bury them in scat. But I do not see those who would like to discuss science or UFOs scatting in the Religion forum at all.
Why is it one side of this debate gives due courtesy and the other does not? It would be rude and disrespectful to go derail all the threads in the Religion forum with science to try and debunk religion. But it does not happen...
Why is there not mutual respect for free discussion in return as it should be? You seem to be alluding to the idea one topic has license and one does not? I would truly like to know if this is the case and we are not supposed to openly discuss certain theories here.

Looks like it's pretty important because without it, "every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God" could be used to legitimize any so-called Jesus. Get enough people on board with a fake Jesus and bad things happen to those who refuse to accept the popular "Jesus".
Could be that the test is to observe and 'flesh out' just these sorts of issues.

If there were any fake Elijahs/Eliases running around at the time, they might have presented themselves as the "right age", and taken on the original name/alias of the prophet. That's what their marks would have been expecting.
Obviously there are simple, ingenious, out-of-left-field ways to outwit the frauds in ways that they would never anticipate.
