Where are the CV-19 Protest Songs of the Young?
5/21/23 | Vanity

Posted on 05/21/2023 2:16:28 PM PDT by week 71

I truly may have missed it. But now that the establishment media is pretending what they did to young people with their propaganda and covid protocols to 'save old folks' has been completely exposed as harmful (sorry FRoctors - you already know now you were on the wrong side or history)

Where are the young artists writing about this? Goodness - so many facts have emerged that truly harmed your generation. Mask mandates, zoom classes, no prom, vaccine mandates to enter certain establishments, sincere mental harms - I truly could go one.

Write about this for goodness sake - pen a song. This bat guano cannot be forgotten.

I think the young and idealistic trust whatever the Democrat party and their MSM propaganda ministry says. There used to be some truth to it:

The Vietnam war was a pointless waste of blood and treasure.
Republican politicians and huge multinational corporations shipped jobs overseas.
The FBI and CIA illegally meddled with everything.

Democrat politicians pretended to care about all those things, and won the trust of the young idealists.

Now it’s obvious to us that the Democrat politicians and MSM were lying all along - but the young idealists have not caught on - they still get their marching orders from the Democrats.

But now it’s the Democrats shipping jobs oversea, starting endless wars and spying on American citizens - yet the young idealists don’t see it - they still think the Democrats are the good guys and the Republicans are the bad guys.

Until that perception changes, they won’t be writing any protest songs - because the abuses that need to be protested are being perpetrated by their beloved Democrat heroes who they believe can do no wrong.

after the election of Thatcher in the UK — young people produced a lot of great music

Britain's punk scene emerged well before the election of Thatcher. The Clash, Sex Pistols, and Buzzcocks were all formed and producing music before 1979. Thatcher and the punk rockers were a different response to the same problem: miserable economic conditions across Britain in the 1970s.

Most of them are pretty cryptic, which is understandable considering the lunacy of the entire world on that particular subject from both ‘conservatives’ and leftists. However, they do exist. You’ll find it mostly in the rock genre which has been sidelined from the mainstream for a long time now and is currently experiencing a renaissance.

Music discovery has changed a lot over the years. You have to seek out music for yourself now, rather than be served it by a radio station, so we no longer have a collective generational experience when it comes to music or really any kind of media these days.

Off the top of my head, the British band Caskets has a song about Covid called Glass Heart:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ao4fiI9lJxk

Saliva isn’t a new band, but they’ve been apolitical until recently and their new stuff is all anti-woke and this one is about Covid (at least I think so anyway):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otpZMTBcZfQ

Falling in Reverse hasn’t done a song about Covid, but their song Zombified is a scathing look at modern culture in America: (and it’s one of my favorite music videos ever...but all of FiR’s videos are amazing)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDDz1Er2IXA

Of course, there’s always Tom MacDonald if you’re into it...he did a covid song like 3 years ago:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPhe2n-p-mw

But his song The System is probably his best, not about Covid, but rips the establishment a new one:

This is an interesting one from the lyrics:

I thought that Motionless in White had kind of an Antifa vibe about them, but this song is clearly pointing out how far we’ve fallen and how we’re ‘poisoning each other’.

I asked the 60s idiots who were all into protest songs then, why they were silent about the lockdown of musicians in 2020 and did not receive a response.

I assumed they were all in on it.

Where would one go to hear such songs if they existed?

Corporate media is brought to you by Pfizer.

Even if a sheep broke from the flock, they would be crushed.

Here's a prescient song from those protest 60's about it...

Thanks for the ping!

Besides “You Can Stick Your Vaccine Mandate Up Your ***” (https://rumble.com/vr5141-you-can-stick-your-vaccine-mandate-up-your-ass-protest.html?mref=5j4tx&mc=di2g8), I also did a NSFW one called “Mask Mandate Blues” (https://rumble.com/vegpn9-mask-mandate-blues-blues-rock.html - not my best work, IMO).

Not winning any awards as far as songs go, but it made me think of this thread.

Thanks - Good question ‘When did everybody lose it?’ The young have much to forgive Gen X and above.

On another note, here is a good version of a song appropriate for 2021. You may have already seen it.
