Dept. Commerce Census Bureau Requesting Sales Records From Gun Holster Companies?

ABILENE, TX -(Ammoland.com)- Why would the Census Bureau request customer records from American gun holster companies?

That is the question AmmoLand News is asking. Several major holster manufacturers/providers received notices from the Department of Commerce Census Bureau requesting order numbers, product descriptions, and where the items were being shipped. A few holster companies have refused to turn over the requested information to the federal government.

...

The companies worry about the Biden administration using the information to target concealed firearms carriers. Since the Bruen decision, there has been an explosion of people in the former “may issue” states looking to carry firearms. The Bruen decision confirmed that we the people have a right to carry a gun outside the home for self-defense. Using holster data, the government could potentially figure out where people plan on concealing a firearm and match that up against permitting data to determine who will be carrying arms without going through the “proper” channels to carry a gun.

Much more information at the link to Ammoland.com.

This seems like a backdoor means of obtaining gun owner information as to who and what type of guns they own.

And it can all be tabulated by algorith to assign a “threat level” to an American citizen.

Just bought a case of 5.56 on CC? Check.

Bought a couple red-dot rifle sights? Check.

Bought a dozen AR mags? Check.

Belong to a range/gun club? Check.

Military record? Check.

Etc etc etc.

Anything you purchased by CC in the past decade or so can be gleaned at the speed of light and crunched by the algorithm.

The Census Bureau, who can’t even run a proper census, wants to branch out into gun control. FAIL!

America has been “fundamentally transformed.” Most don’t see it yet.

This administration really thinks it’s smart. It has devised a clever scheme to find out who are the honest, non-violent people who have guns. They don’t want to target violent criminals. In fact, they want violent criminals to go after the innocent, non-violent people.

Sane people would see that there is presently a strong movement back to a belief in the Constitution.
Both court decisions and changes in voting patterns clearly demonstrate that a change is coming.

The problem is that dims are not really sane and this change in the political climate will drive them to insane actions.

Be watchful, careful and determined.

Holster companies can just identify their products as “shoes”.

Commerce compiles CPI and GDP calculations. They want to include holster sales in GDP, as they should, and to track the price changes.

To me, and hopefully to all Americans, the 4th Amendment prohibits the government from collecting our papers, but the government violates that every day.

Amendment IV (1791)
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated...

So is there a complete list of manufacturers who have been axed for this information, and which of them have complied and which haven't?

Axing for a friend, of course, I wouldn't own any of those horrible things myself and I don't think the government should allow ordinary people to own them, like in China.

There is no from Congress on this matter to give a department such powers. The SCOTUS has already ruled precedence on the matter of DNC Departments within the USG from finding powers and new laws to force compliance.

The Administrative State has been put on legal notice.

SCOTUS may well revisit the Biden Administration and direct him to sign an EO for the remainder of his presidency enjoining his USG to refrain from “discovery law” by his departments.

Memo to self:

1. Go to local gun show
2. Purchase holster from independent jobber
3. Pay in cash

Guess this is why the government is trying to close down local gun shows and eliminate cash.

I do some leather work as a hobby and I make quite a few CC holsters for friends.

I don’t keep records.
