Signs will be added to explain the ‘whiteness’ of sculpture plaster casts inside Cambridge University’s archaeology museum as part of a new anti-racist strategy.
Plaster casts of Roman and Greek sculptures are said to give a ‘misleading impression’ of the whiteness and ‘absence of diversity’ of the ancient world.
And the Classics Faculty at Cambridge University has revealed it will ‘turn the problem into an opportunity’, according to the Daily Telegraph....

Well, People did move around, though slowly, back then. You didnt need a passport. Passports are a more recent invention. They dont work at all so of course govts love them.
Especially along the sea routes you might see people from quite far away. People would come from all over Europe to see the library at Alexandria for example. Rome would be full of people from all over the place. Only an ignorant clod would need this stupid labelling.
Greek and Roman history lacks diversity. With some new textbooks and a LOT of Federal funding, a solution can be found.
The lack of academic resistance to this sh!t is not surprising.
