The new Magnum being a minority..?
I sorta expected that.
But then Higgins turned out a sassy, hot blonde British female.
And then "Higgins" started roundhouse kicking KGB contractors in the jaw, knocking them out. And giving "Magnum" a whole lot of lip.
And that's when I got very scared and angry.
Quigley is indeed a great movie. There were three issues of the Shiloh-Sharps .45-110 made for Selleck: a standard working version and a backup. Another was made from aluminum. The scene where Quigley is clubbing bad guys with the Sharps...well, you can imagine the standard issue was pretty hefty, so the velocity of the clubbing was not as fast as hoped for thus one with much less mass was made for easier swinging.
One of those Shiloh-Sharps sold at auction for $69,000 ten years ago.
The Canucks have some good stuff.

Thanks for that comment about the soundtrack. Many times I’ve watched a movie and wound up going online searching for a CD of the soundtrack because it was so impressive. Movie composers create some wonderful themes. I will be listening carefully when I finally get around to High Road to China!

This is one fan of the original Magnum PI who will not watch the new one. My wife is another one, and neither of our kids will watch it.
I enjoyed it. Good clean fun for a change and in my opinion, I really hated the Dr. Smith character in the new one, which actually was good because that made the old show as well.

Cant credibly copy TC and Rick and Higgins. They were the characters.

I watch a lot of Brit stuff, too. I have BritBox and Acorn TV. What I like about the Brits is they portray people as real, elderly actors have wrinkled skin, not all young people are beautiful, they show the flaws. Plus they do great mysteries.
Zeus and Apollo are still Dobermans, according to the reviews I’ve read.
I haven’t seen the “Lost in Space” reboot. I was very suspicious when I read that Dr. Smith is a woman, and that the robot can only say “Danger!” now. The repartee between the original Dr. Smith and robot was a big part of the humor of the original series.

Lost in Space ratings on Netflix have apparently been revealed.
According to the article,
"So, even though Lost in Space isn't quite a runaway hit according to these figures, it could well be a slow-burning success following positive word-of-mouth."
