But then Higgins turned out a sassy, hot blonde British female.

And then "Higgins" started roundhouse kicking KGB contractors in the jaw, knocking them out. And giving "Magnum" a whole lot of lip.

And that's when I got very scared and angry.

Though technically competent the majority of the movie industry seems artistically bankrupt.

Ultimately all the glitz and glam, and jaw dropping special effects, can’t make up for the technacolor PC weeniedom that is Hollywood.

I watched the original show off and on and thought it was OK. My older sister loved it because...Tom Selleck.

Since every remake of a movie or TV show has all the white people replaced by some PC approved minority or female I’m not gonna watch and I believe this show will go down in flames as fast as the Hindenburg.

I do have to admit I loved the remake of Battlestar Gallactica but it took me a long time to get into Starbuck being a woman.

Now that I have the British streaming services, I never need to watch US TV again. The British mysteries and dramas have actors who look like real people, not just size zero from 18-35 years old, and include roles for Indians, Americans and other European nations without a feeling of political correctness or tokenism.

They don't seem to have any new ideas and the wave of revivals and reboots give off a sense of desperation. I find this "reboot" particularly galling because the original series still holds up pretty darn well. They won't match it, never mind surpass it.

Script writers ought to be ashamed - very ashamed - that they cannot come up with original material these days, that they must just re-package previously successful shows.

They sit in class with men, they work in offices with men, and they perform equally well, but they never see how much frighteningly stronger even an average male is than they are. This is by no means a bad thing, but a side effect is that many women have somehow gotten the idea that they're as strong as men.

Net result, our military refuses to re-institute the ban on girls in combat, and girls are being assigned to combat units -- and people are going to die.
