A woman headed to Los Angeles International Airport was dragged off a Southwest plane Tuesday night by two police officers after claiming she was deathly allergic to two dogs on board the flight. ...
The kerfuffle was preceded by the woman telling the flight crew that she had a life-threatening allergy to two dogs on the flight, one of which was a service animal, and her demand that they be removed from the flight.
When she could not provide a medical certificate stating she could travel safely, she was asked to leave.
...
As the officers removed the unidentified woman, Dumas said she kept saying she was just trying to get to her fathers surgery.
...
The flight went on to LAX and arrived on schedule.

anaphylaxis.
Though more rare than with food allergies, there are people who will die if exposed to concentrations of pet dander.
I rather imagine they might be screaming and panicking if encased in a metal tube with animals.
Not that there aren’t people who just have some nutty phobia, just be aware that there are people for whom this is life and death.
Never heard of such..............She was lying, and being a liberal a$$hole..................
I know people who have strong allergies to dogs & cats. They are best avoiding being around animals. But their lives are not threatened. This woman may have been overstating her situation. Or she may have been telling the truth. Either way, the airline couldn’t know for sure. Once they had been warned that her allergy was life threatening she needed to get off the plane because the dog dander was already on the plane, and they could be sued if she had an allergic reaction.
Pretty much. Now people have service dogs because they get anxious. How did people survive 50 years ago without service animals and handifat carts at the grocery store?
That is validated at TSA and also at the gate.
I am not complaining about anything and SD’s don’t need a certificate or docs but are required to do something, not just sit in some jerks lap because they don’t want to pay fees to check the “animal” where it belongs.
Its a fact this is being abused in the same way handicap stickers are abused.
lol
Deathly allergic to dogs?

She should have been removed if that was the case.
Good thing she wasn’t black because then it would have been because she was black.
The next Leftie plan, go after dogs .
There may be some truth to your assertion but your assertion has nothing to do with this incident.
Actually not required which is why its a scam pulled off by self-centered,selfish jerks that feel their smelly mutt should be allowed in the cabin because it makes “them” feel good .
The entire basis for liberalism, it makes “me” feel good. F every one else.
Kerfuffle
How do you know these 2 dogs were genuinely needed for ADA assistance, you don’t.
Air lines are scared to querry these people on their assertions for fear of steep fines so very one and any one brings a dog on board and gets a pass.
Also avoiding checked pet fees.
People will lie all the time claiming their dog is a “service dog.” Lots of sorry people in this world. Obviously, I don’t know about this situation.
I stay in a lot of hotels and I’ve had people at the front desk tell me that “every dog is a “service dog.” They know many are lying but cannot do much about it.
Correct. I believe it is a violation of the ADA to demand “proof” in the form of certification or paperwork in the hotel context. I’m sure it’s the same for airlines.
Deathly allergic to dogs?
Also a lot of service dogs are fake. I know someone in the business. I wouldn’t call anyone out on it but it is abused.
SW makes it very clear when you get your ticket that you should inform them of any serious issues you have.
If a person has a life threatening allergy, that person carries proof and takes preventive steps whenever doing something like flying.
Probably just another attention whore.
I’m thinking her lawyer will have some other word for it.
