Pathetic chest beating by the four wheeled crowd. Most any 750cc and over sportbike will humiliate these male menopause toys.
Have fun with the Harley crowd, though.
Cars most likely to be driven by geezers who's reflexes have long since dropped below what is needed for a high performance car.
Leave it to the trophy wife to drive.
Well if I can buy them, obviously they are less than $100,000...
I have seen too many fatal bike accidents...maybe 6...which would have been survivable in a car. Most accidents because granny or granpa did not see the bike.
heh heh
I resemble that remark! A Jaguar F-Pace has become more attractive to me than a Jaguar F-type.
There’s a reason SUVs are so popular. Americans are getting older and fatter, not to mention deteriorating roads.
yuge omission.
“Most any 750cc and over sportbike will humiliate these male menopause toys.”
True around town in traffic. Down Mulholland Dr (or your favorite banked twisty) bikes are out powered and more importantly out braked. Any driver with a weekend course at Skip Barber will leave the biker crumpled at the side of the road with his bike half way down the canyon from just trying to keep up.
Been there. Done that. On both 2 and 4 wheels.
Where do you get the VW pan and front torsion bar suspension these days? Can I put a stinger pipe on it?
I’ve found a factor of 10X over your 50 - 60 year lifetime work well. Hershey bars for a nickel; phone calls for a dime; daily newspaper a dime; milk bottle deposit two cents; car for $2,500; house for $15k.
The fed “managing” inflation — what a joke.
Mt. Lemon near Tucson to
Cochises’ Stronghold near Tombstone
Continues to be my favorite stretch.
Beautiful Vista’s and lots of History!
where I live in central KY. It’s one reason I moved here after 46 years in Seattle. It’s prettier, too.
Okc and Houston
I drive an frs with Michelin PSS’s. For me it’s about handling. And $25k.
Not in Fargo.
I’m in ND. It would have to be an older house in a very small town to qualify as “massive” and 250K.
Yep. You are right - I think they slighted Ford. I’ve just got a plain ole Mustang GT with a 5.0 litre Coyote that’ll do 0-60 in 4.4, and It cost me less than $40K for the 435 Hp. Book says top speed of 165, but I have a friend with an older model GT that he’s had up to 185 at Daytona - stock.
This old video from the 2011 MOTB will probably send you back, then, several nice vintage blue metal flake Manx. Bumpy amateur video but worth enduring if you enjoy the vehicles and the scenery. I love the OBX, something of a lost world in some respects, the beach driving and beach bonfires, even beach camping in some areas. Not too many places you can do that anymore, not and enjoy that end of the world feeling of being away from everything. Down in FL it’s like driving through a shopping mall the beach is so crowded with mostly big 4x4 trucks. Up in the northern OBX you’ve got to drive on the beach to get anywhere, the beach *is* the road, but watch out for wild Banker ponies.
The VW pans are getting harder and harder to come by, I understand reproductions are available or better yet if you have the budget build your own powder coated custom frame. The stinger pipes certainly can be put on if they’re legal in your state. They look very cool but I recall having to shove tennis balls in them to keep the rain out. Some devised flappers like on a tractor exhaust stack that worked, too, but it sort of spoiled the look as I recall.
