I stopped reading right after I saw “Nicholas Kristof”.

That’s the same reporter who interviewed Obama in 2007 and fawning over how Muslim he was. Check it out:

http://www.nytimes.com/2007/03/06/opinion/06kristof.html?_r=0

Choice excerpts:

He once got in trouble for making faces during Koran study classes in his elementary school, but a president is less likely to stereotype Muslims as fanatics — and more likely to be aware of their nationalism — if he once studied the Koran with them.

Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent.

[ed: the reader will recall the opening lines to the Muslim call to prayer is “Allahu Akbar” repeated 2 or 4 times, followed by the declaration in Arabic that there is only one God and that God is Allah]

In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”

Moreover, Mr. Obama’s own grandfather in Kenya was a Muslim. Mr. Obama never met his grandfather and says he isn’t sure if his grandfather’s two wives were simultaneous or consecutive, or even if he was Sunni or Shiite. (O.K., maybe Mr. Obama should just give up on Alabama.)

I find it real itresting that the author had to go back 45 years to find something to use as evidence. that would of made trump 25 at the time just out of college and still under the thumb of his dad on how the business was ran. seeing how this is a discrimination law suit I am guessing it is on practices in his dads business that were put in place five or more years or more before the law suit happened. things were really screwed up years ago and I bet that what ever he was being sued about was common practice with all business at the time.

I've not seen any evidence that he is.

The little effers at the New York Times will do anything to damage Trump. Maybe Nicholas Kristof should check out J. William Fulbright - Clinton's mentor. Of if we're going back to the 70's, how about Bull Connor or George Wallace or Sen. Byrd? President Johnson was a flat out friggin' racist... but the little effers at the New York Times cherry pick. Why? Because they're the haters, the biased ones, the 'White Citizens Council' of OUR day. They've chosen new victims - traditional Americas - but it's the same hate, the same bias, the same ignorance that was used against blacks in the Jim Crow South.

New choice of victim doesn't make it anymore ethical that the haters of 50 years ago...

You, uh, DO realize that was an out and out lie from Univision, right? And that it was called out and repudiated pretty much right away, right?

Test every realtor at the time with this same standard, and see what you find.

I read a book by Studs Terkel once, title might have been Working. You can look up Terkel if you like. He has excellent left-wing credentials but at least practiced actual journalism.

The book was a fascinating compilation of his various interviews with Chicago people who performed various jobs in exactly the era we are talking about.

I cannot imagine that New York would have been too different.

Anyway, he devotes an entire chapter of that book to covering a lady who called herself a professional neighborhood preserver. What unscrupulous real estate agents did in those days was to find the worst Black family or excuse for a family they could and sell them into a white neighborhood, even at an economic loss if necessary. Then, after a few weeks of petty vandalism and burglaries, they would go around to other houses in the neighborhood and offer to buy them out for cheaper and cheaper by pointing out what was happening, even if the subsequent Blacks buying in the neighborhood were normal decent people who just wanted out of the hood.

By constantly targeting and churning neighborhoods in this fashion, they could keep their commissions flowing and make money from both the Black families moving in and the white families moving out (and into another neighborhood somewhere else).

The "neighborhood preserver" lady wasn't the least bit racist, she just wanted to educate her neighbors on what was happening so they didn't fall for this shtick.

Legitimate realtors (which, I would bet, includes the Trumps) were left with a Hobson's choice of either defying the government or being accused of block busting and churning as the unethical realtors were doing.

Most of them simply chose to ride the fence via the tactics described so they would not run afoul of either group.

No, it wasn’t—though it is possible that the three Hispanic council members misinterpreted exactly what he said.

As he stated, quoted in this article, though he thinks we need to be “firm” with the illegals here we also have to be “fair” and so he is asking for their input on a “fair” way to handle them.

Obviously, if he simply wanted to enforce our current, copious immigration laws and/or carry out the straight deportation for any illegals found here, he would not be considering a need to find a “fair” solution and be asking for them to help him to get to such.

Now prove that the article is telling the truth.

Trump has denied it.

I’m not paying attention to the article, though the Trump people said there was misunderstanding between what the council members thought they heard him say and what he did say—specifically that he never said that he was going to “legalize” the illegals.

My reference is to what Trump himself said today:

Trump must actually be making inroads with black voters. The DNC sent out marching orders to keep them on the plantation.

Here is the clip of Trump on the issue this AM:

http://video.foxnews.com/v/5093822545001/trump-on-clinton-foundation-shut-it-down-give-money-back/?#sp=show-clips

They speak on it from approximately 4:30 to 5:40.

He said, because he was asked, that he is not flip-flopping. He slammed a Buzzfeed writer for having got wrong whether he would run for president, and said they were “about as accurate” on this as on that. But then he clearly, repeatedly, and emphatically said that we have to be “firm but fair” with illegals that are already here and that they’re working with the Hispanic community to come up with something that is “firm but fair”. He is implying that simply being “firm” by enforcing our immigration laws somehow isn’t “fair” and thus he needs to come up with a program that will be “fair”.

Satisfied?

I wished I could take credit for “Illary” but I lifted it from a post from luvbach1. I thought it was an awesome name for the Queen B.

Not satisfied at all.

Sounds to me like you’re trying to erode Trump’s support by propagandizing with creative interpretations of his statements.

Like you have been for months now.

I have not—stop it!

But I strongly believe that he should feel the imperative from the base not to sell out on amnesty. That is a very legitimate concern and one that I think should be aired.

Oooo, CONCERN.

There’s a specific name for people who use the word CONCERN when attacking a candidate.

I WONDER.

When Trump outright says that he’s going to give legal status to illegals, I’ll believe you. I’m not going to believe this.

Until then, send messages encouraging him to stay strong on his original immigration plan and encourage people to do the same, not go around telling his strongest supporters that he’s selling out.

All right.

Until we meet again.

FYI, totally friendly advice and sincerity mode. Try interpreting things in the sense of encouragement, not discouragement.
