Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stays on the path he has had the last week the polls will tighten.
Priebus said, “I think he has a great week. He has been on message. He’s shown maturity as a candidate. I think he’s getting into a groove. I think he likes the new style that he’s been out on the campaign trail producing and speaking of so I think he’s done a great job. And I think the polls will begin to tighten. And the next couple of weeks, by labor day, or there after, you’ll be back to an even race if we continue down this path.”

So, the GOPe head is saying that Trump’s gonna go full GOPe blather in attempting to sweet talk the moderates* and thereby, alienate his support, like has been common practice for GOPe for decades now?
* Moderates. Leftists who lack the integrity to admit even to themselves that they are, in fact, leftists and who’s only function is to snipe at the backs of those opposing the left.
You pay attention. Enter “pribeus” on the Fr search engine. It’s like Google but better results. When did an RNC chair actually become trustworthy? Are we in the 1950’s?

My take is that Priebus is seeing internal polling moving in a positive direction. He’s foreshadowing the week ahead.

I agree with that. Certainly more than Ryan and McConnell along with a bunch of other backstabbers. Linda Graham comes to mind along with the lady from Maine.
I see him putting work in for Trump,also saw him with the rules committee recommending NO changes to convention rules. Looks as though he is backing our nominee to my eyes no matter what Lyin’ Ryan may do. What more should he be doing if he is torpedoing Trump as you hint at?
Reince is fair. Now he has to keep the wheels on the GOP.

Much as I have disliked Priebus over the years, he has done a lot to redeem himself this season. He quelled the #NeverTrump morons and has solidly backed Trump.. He has shown more class than anyone else in the GOPe ghetto .
Of course, there are many here at FR that deserve to be raked across the coals more than Priebus - they do what they can to pooh-pooh any good news and seem to work towards demoralizing our side - all without any evidence of actually doing anything to support what they claim to support. They prompted me to make a couple service announcements for ready use. This one seems to be apropos here:
There is a full court press to try to demoralize Trump supporters - lots of lies and lots of folks here willing to help by giving them credence. Mid September (and before) will make it a lot harder for the to spread the lies.
In the meantime, we can all help him build his infrastructure and gear up for when the time for a media blitz is right by donating to his campaign and Donate to FR while we are at it.
Anyone on FR that claims to not want Hillary, and who isn't also donating to Trump and FR may as well be liars who just like a free place to spout off while others do the heavy lifting. There are a lot of adjectives for them and none are flattering.....such as those who really try to demoralize our side - I call them "Tokyo Roses"
