Osprey alights on a snag above his nest to check me out and voice his displeasure with my presence.

I like your osprey better than the V-22 mechanical one.

Saw a bunch of those monsters when we were in the Florida Panhandle last fall.

Awesome birds.

As a side note, they are trying to be re-introduced here in S.E. Michigan. this past summer while playing softball, I observed a local Osprey “fishing” in the pond next to the diamond I was playing on. He made 3 dives before he eventually left the area.........that was really cool!

Great shots. I always enjoy photographing these guys. They can almost always be found at large Arizona lakes and ponds. In the mountains around here, you often see them competing with Bald Eagles. I’ve got to see a few very cool air combats over a big trout one or the other has caught.

We have had a Pine Siskin on our feeder the last few days. Just passing through I guess.

Great osprey shots, Island7!

I don't have as much lens, but I keep myself amused. Here are a few:

Black-bellied Whistling Duck (the first recorded occurrence in my East Tennessee county)

Eastern Bluebird

Pine Warbler

Ospreys

Bald Eagle

Bald Eagle with fish

Great Blue Heron silhouette

Northern Flicker Courtship Rituals
