I’ve also been here since ‘98.
1) Cruz, Trump, Rubio
2) Not sure, but it seems worse. I have a bad memory these days. It does seem to me that I’ve never been as concerned about the level of hatred on this forum that seems to be accompanying this election.
3) I honestly don’t think I can rate those because they are all so very important to me. However, if I had to, I think I would put immigration reform at the top and possibly homosexual marriage last. The other ones would be equal right in the middle.
1. Betweeen Cruz, Rubio, and Trump only...please list in order of preference if they were your only choices for president.
2. Are the current flame wars on Free Republic the same we always see during a presidential primary season or worse?
3. Of these 5 issues only: Abortion, Homosexual Marriage, Illegal immigration, Muslim refugees, Obamacare... please list in order of most important to stop to least important. (Least important in no way means “not important”. Even if an issue is #5 on THIS list, its may still be #5 out of 100 issues for you. Im just comparing to these other 4 for perspective.)

2. They do get bad during these seasons. I remember taking a lot of heat trying to tell people last time that Gingrich is too needy emotionally to be trusted. Even JimRob was pro Gingrich so I was afraid I’d get banned. It seems bad this time but I will say no, not worse than last time.

A)Muslim refugees - because they aren’t refugees, and we already have insane illegal immigration, so this would be a new, horrible downturn
B) Obamacare - it ruins our lives and makes us serfs to a tyrannical govt and must be stopped soon
C) illegal immigration - killing jobs and middle class and culture
D) abortion - we won’t get rid of it but let’s stop funding it and let’s condemn from the presidency bully pulpit the selling of the poor babies’ bodies.
E) gay marriage - that is here to stay folks. Toothpaste out of the tube.
This “noob” will only vote for Cruz. If Trump or Rubio are nominated I will not vote in November.
I cant vote for Trump because I dont believe a word he says. He cant sway me to believe he is not NY Liberal. Plus he is showing his true colors lately, he is only for Trump, not America.

Also, we have kicked GOD out of our once fine country, so until we reconcile that, we are DOMMED! We roll over for atheists like Michael Newdow and the ACLU (Anti-Christians LOVE us) we will NOT survive.....we will always be tormented by MUSLIMS and other anti-Christians. ALL the other things come in second.
There's more emotion this time because the two top contenders are actually decent candidates. In 08 and 12 GOPe put up obvious losers that no one took seriously.
Both Cruz and Trump look and act like winners.
Unfortunately, I think Trump will do a 180 and become another Schwarzenegger if he wins. Even if he does, he won't be as bad as Hillary or Sanders.
His collapse will set the stage for a really awful Democrat in 2020.
Cruz seems like the real deal. I hope he survives and becomes President.

2. We see this every election cycle, including congressional and senatorial races. Nothing new, just more passion because many of us see this as our last real chance to plug the dyke, so to speak.

I work in Healthcare IT consulting so it was tough for me to put Obamacare in 5th place. There are many battles to be fought but the most important in my opinion is the preservation of our freedom and liberty. This can only be accomplished by stemming the tsunami of illegal invasion and the internal destruction manifests. We are under attack from all directions and we must fortify our territory. I’m not a fan of this Obamacare abomination but it is but a drop in the bucked compared to immigration/terrorism.
