Undecided, except I would never vote for Rubio or Bush.
Like many here, I don’t like the infighting between the candidates and the Freeper community. I no longer spend hours reading here, but minutes. I see too many quoting left wing sources, such as Salon and Huffington.
The five issues are all important to me.

I was Trump, Cruz.

But all the vitriol of the Trump supporters not just here but on several other sites I post on, combined with Trump’s letist-style attacks on Cruz made me switch.

Now I’m Cruz, Trump.

Rubio is not on the list. I WILL vote third party if the GOPe shoves him down our throats like they did Romney and McCain.

I don’t care how Rush tries to defend him and the tramp Megyyyyyn Kelley. Rubio is RINO.

Defending the US Constitution is first and foremost for me.

I want a president that will undo Obammie-the-Commie’s illegal and unconstitutional actions.

Defending the borders is defending the USC.
Defending the US is defending the USC.
Limiting the powers of the federal government is defending the USC.
Separation of powers is defending the USC.
Defending the individual’s right to practice their religion how they see fit as long as it does not include violence or the call to violence is defending the USC.

Right now, I think Cruz is the strongest on these points. However, I don’t think he can win the general election.

Trump has proven himself that he is a good fighter. However, saying he likes Pelosi and Reid and Schmucky Schumer and get “work deals” with them turned me against him.

1. It's a secret ballot and I'm keeping it close to the jerkin. I'm afraid that my man Yeb! is out, though (sobbing)...

2. About the same as any Presidential race, but I do think the maturity level has decreased a bit this time around. The passion is probably due to two very different and very viable candidates on the Republican side. When you recall that the major passion in '08 was for a Vice Presidential candidate it becomes a little clearer. Giuliani sent in a few too many, or rather too blatant pros onto the site during that campaign and a number of them got Zapped in that epochal thread. Took some good FReepers with them when they went.

3. It varies day to day. At the moment 0bamacare, illegal immigration, Muslim refugees, Abortion, Homosexual marriage, but that shuffles around. I'd suggest gun control be considered for the mix because it's still on the 0bama "legacy" agenda. Also maybe the high degree of corruption and incompetence in the most senior members of the sitting administration.

I'll turn 18 in FReeper years come September. Seems like only yesterday...

Cruz, Trump, Rubio

Looks a bit ‘warmer’ for being this early, but...

Illegal immigration, 0bamacare, muslim refugees, homosexual marriage, abortion.

3. Abortion, Illegal Immigration, Muslim Refugees, Homosexual Marriage, Obamacare

Peace,

SR

Started posting in 2000.

Cruz, Trump then with hesitation, Rubio.

About the same as 2008.

Borders (covers immigration and refugees), and the rest are about equal.

1. Cruz, Rubio, probably not vote is Trump is the nominee
2. Same
3. Abortion, Muslim Refugees, Homosexual Marriage, Illegal Immigration, Obamacare

I do not view Trump as being any better than Bernie or Hillary. He agrees with Bernie on trade and (too recently for my comfort) Hillary and Bernie, both, on partial birth abortion. He does not believe in traditional marriage. His position on eminent domain is a show stopper for me all by itself. He wants to tax the rich more. You cannot trust what he says.

1. Cruz, Trump (equal enthusiasm for both, but for different reasons. And no Rubio at all.)

2. The current flame wars on Free Republic are about the same as always. The seemingly greater intensity is probably due to there being a more pronounced two-way split, rather than three or more equal factions.

3. Muslim refugees, Illegal immigration (plenty of overlap there), Obamacare, Abortion, Homosexual marriage.

Class of 2000, but I lurked for a couple of years before that.

1. Cruz, Trump, Rubio

2. Flame wars are always bad, but I think they are more vulgar this year... disappointing.

3. Illegal immigration, Muslim refugees, Abortion, Homosexual Marriage, Obamacare

I am in SC and have met Ted Cruz in person and heard him speak twice. I am so impressed that he doesn’t waver in his beliefs and principles. I have friends working on his SC campaign and have heard such great things about him.

If Ted doesn’t make it, I will vote for just about anyone I have to in order to keep a democrat/socialist out of the White House.

those arguing you do not deserve a voice are the types who will voting for the oldtimers in the Democrat party.

I would ignore them. I always do.

1. Cruz, Trump . . . (third party as a protest vote) . . . Rubio (maybe, and that only if someone holds a gun to my head)

2. Slightly worse from both sides on the Cruz/Trump flames, which is generally harmful to both sides.

3. Illegal immigration, Muslim Refugees, Obamacare, Abortion, Homosexual Marriage.

Amnesty will lead to far more votes for democrats which will lead to socialism in the immediate future. That makes Rubio and Bush completely unacceptable.

While abortion and gay marriage are important, the next president will not directly control those. The real question there is Supreme Court appointments. I’d like to see President Cruz personally researching and appointing strict constructionists after he wins. I’d love to see President Trump appoint Cruz to the Supreme Court.

!. Cruz

2. Trump

3. Rubio

I think Cruz is stellar and I despise the trash being dished on him here at FR.

He successful argued for the execution of an illegal immigrant murderer in the state of Texas in front of the Supreme Court. His opponent was the administration of Georege W. Bush. Cruz beat Bush at the Supreme Court on a core illegal immigration issue.

If that were all he had done, I would say it would be more than Crhistie or Rubio and yes Trump. The man knows the constitution like he is on steroids. I wide range of legal issues which have been structured by the Left to destroy our civil liberties: separation of church and state, Citizens United, immigration implosion are all empirically confronted and won by Cruz.

We are blessed that someone got an advanced IVY league education and instead of selling out like Roberts, decided to become a sincere warrior for our cause.

No one comes close and I could go on and on and on and on— some have seen that here.

This is not close.

Please stop personally attacking Cruz. If for some weird reason you do not prefer him, I think you should stop pretending he is evil and personally despicable. That is cheap shot garbage.

---------------------------

I live in Arizona, so things will probably be pretty well decided by the time it's my turn to vote. I dislike Trump personally-- I think he's an arrogant jerk and a phony-- and based on his past I don't trust him to deliver, but he's a force to be reckoned with because he's saying what people want to hear. I like Cruz and his positions, but I feel he comes across as unlikable-- and in the presidential race which is in large part a popularity contest, that could hurt him in the general. Rubio's alright. I think he generally comes across as likable, but he's got some self-redeeming to do after last night but, really, I'd vote for any of them if they were the nominee.

I was 1) Cruz 2) Paul and 3) Carson
Now I am 1) Cruz. I find both Rubio and Trump unsatisfactory.

1.I need to see more of Trump and Cruz. I like them both for different reasons. No 3rd choice, knew too much about Rubio since much earlier in the primary process.

Muslims refugees, Obamacare, Homosexual Marriage, Illegal migration, abortion

1. Trump; Cruz; Carson

2. More intense because we now have at least one viable candidate who we can trust to do what he promises out of love for this country. The republicans and democrats don’t like this.

3. (a)Our country comes first or we won’t survive.
(b)Muslims are trying to take over our country’s law structure by bringing in refugees who have no interest in assimilating to live peacefully beside us.
(c)The democrats and republicans have evolved into a one party monopoly with the democrats running the show and republicans blindly following them into socialism.
(d)Obamacare and the attacks on the 2nd amendment are proof that (c) above is true.

Thanks for this post.
