Donald Trump Goes Nuclear: Let's Face It, Ted Cruz 'Is a Bit of a Maniac'
PJ Media ^ | 12-13-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 12/13/2015 7:33:18 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":

"I don’t think he’s qualified to be president… I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he’s got the right judgment… You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a — you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never going to get things done that way."

He added:

"Look, I built a phenomenal business. I’m worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You can’t walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. He’ll never get anything done. And that’s the problem with Ted."

It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."

What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.

If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

The fair weather Trump supporters are singing a whole different tune about Trump now.

Heard through the grapevine through word of mouth that Trump supporters on Twitter are deserting Trump in droves and most are headed on over to Ted Cruz.

Implosion indeed

Had Trump not been such a Poll Sitter himself, constantly referencing them at every Rally, every Interview and Radio show relentlessly I doubt very much people would pay as close attention to them as they are in this primary.

We already know that Trump ‘needs’ the polls....ratings matter more to him then most just based on his personality. Yet he said he doesn’t care care about the polls when the polls showed unfavorbility to Trump on his Muslim statements.

What I see is Trump and the polls are like a co-dependant relationship.....when the polls are unfavorable Trump “speaks” something to get them back up....When the polls are favorable then he rides the wave....as with his recent statement regarding Cruz.

Trump knows there's been a gradual shift as Cruz's base grassroots efforts began to grow.....The one thing that has kept Cruz down is the media's attempt to make him 'invisible', as we saw this weekend, ..with NO invites to the Sunday morning talk shows, in spite of his new poll results.........they really don't want people to "hear" him.

But while Trump has met huge crowds, Cruz has been meeting with 'many 'smaller ones, who are indeed listening to his policy and issues, asking questions and getting answers.........and these meetings allow for a more personal bonding with the citizenry, which equals Solid Grassroots Support..... When he is given an opportunity to speak, people are impressed.

“The only way to prevent the worst imaginable damage might be to try to help defeat Clinton in the primaries.”

That didn’t work so well when that was done in 2008! (Wasn’t that Rush Limbaugh’s idea to promote some unknown punk named obama?)

Interesting observations if true. I don't pay close enough regular attention to notice such correlations and have seen his talk about polls just as being associated with telling others to drop out.

That said, here's what Wikipedia has to say about it:
Since early July 2015, he has consistently been the front-runner in public opinion polls for the Republican Party nomination.

Unless he has extremely low self esteem small variations in poll numbers or separation between him and #2 don't seem worth getting his knickers in a knot over.

This is all part of the Art of the Deal.

LIke they’re going to build the wall and payfor it.

This is rule one. You start with some far out request, then you negotiate. The Mexicans might not believe it now, but what happens if he is president? hahahaha then they’re going to deal with it, and Trump will make them do pretty much what he wants.

Too bad you don’t have research handy on file, AuntB. Many FRiends dont listen if you make claims without being backing them up. You can clear your bookmarks, for example, and have a bookmark list handy that holds opposition research. Very easy to do. Or use word searches in your own computer’s files [what I do]. Takes up very little computer memory to save text.

But this time I’ll help get the ball rolling for you... BRB.

“Trump [said that] Roberts was an embarrassment and a big disappointment and that Thomas was his favorite and that Scalia was also very high on his list of respected SC Justices.”

I am really glad to hear that. Not knowing Trump well enough yet, a small part of my mind wondered if he was deliberately out to remove Scalia.

Trump also said he was pro-life. I have a terse quote anyway:

” ...and I happen to be pro-life. Okay? I’m pro-life.”

[And he hates the organ harvesting outrages with a white hot passion, just like Cruz.]

"He’s not disagreeing with his policies. That’s right. That’s a good point"

I'm glad there's at least one smart person on thread. I love CRUZ and TRUMP, and they are not going after each other on Policy. If they did, then it would be hard for them to unite after the nomination.

But you are not challenging that Ted is the 4th largest recipient of Wall Street money? How do you think he gets it? Why do you think he voted for TPA and the Coker Bill?

Well, if he keeps this crap up with throwing flames at Cruz like he did on Fox yesterday, I don’t even know if **I** would vote for him. Lol.

It’s a mute point, really. The more he flames Cruz, the more he’ll slide in the polls and will blow this yuuuge lead, leading to a brokered convention, where both of them lose.

Have you ever seen a list that gives useful info like that? I want to stay far away from any RINO websites to avoid giving them hits, but I don’t always know who they are. I’ve looked for such a list before with no luck. Just wondering if you’ve seen one.

I do not know of a listing source

Lord there are so many blogs now

Breitbart is a place I most easily identify with

For media I likely agree with Stephen K Bannon there who runs it more than any media source

If they are pimping it I usually trust it

Seems like Trump is adapting the MSM characterization of Cruz.

You have accidently exposed trumps entire shtick.

He plays off the media with every 3-6 word zinger he utters...

This is largely how he has a lot of formerly conscientious people dancing to his tune.

I suppose one could invoke the Pied Piper terminology.
