Did I hear Rush Right? Don't let Trump's views bother us 'Cause RNC said Bush, McCain, Romney OK
September 3, 2015 | Vanity

Posted on 09/03/2015 12:43:44 PM PDT by Cincinatus' Wife

Did I hear Rush say that we should be willing to vote for Trump even with all of his baggage and left leaning positions and support for Democrats!?

He said the RNC told us to support McCain and Romney (and I think he threw Bush in there) so we should have no trouble supporting Trump.

That's some kind of rallying cry for conservatives.

So would someone please tell me what Trump stands for (other than saying he'll build the fence and deport gang members), and why (other than you want to believe that he has changed) why anyone would trust him.

I'll give you 2 reasons why I know Donald Trump finds it easy and appropriate to lie. (Current history - I'll leave the long, documented list of his liberal ideological positions aside for this exercise, along with Trump's long, documented list of his support for elected Democrat leaders.)

1. He lied (more than once despite it having been proven a lie) that Wisconsin was doing poorly and that it was because of Scott Walker.

2. He lied about a Walker supporter coming to him asking to take him on to his campaign because he wanted to leave Walker.

And here is a third because it is about FReepers willing to repeat lies about candidates to promote their candidate.

If you believe that your candidate is the best thing for the country, then there should be NO REASON to actively spam threads of other candidates with lies.

Your turn.

I think you missed Rush’s point. He said that the GOP establishment cannot make the argument to conservatives that they should not vote for Trump because he is not conservative, because that is exactly what they encouraged said conservatives to do in the last two elections when they, the conservatives, objected to the lack of conservative principles on the part of the duly nominated candidates, Romney and McCain.

It is good logic.

Whether he is actually for or against Trump, he neither said or implied ... which is entirely typical of him.

I’m not going to throw myself in front of a bus if Trump is the Republican nominee.

How can Trump possibly win with this kind of idiocy?

Trump’s plan to defeat ISIS:

“They have great money because they have oil. Every place where they have oil I would knock the hell out of them. I would knock out the source of their wealth, the primary sources of their wealth, which is oil. And in order to do that, you would have to put boots on the ground. I would knock the hell out of them but I’d put a ring around it and I’d take the oil for our country.”

The minute I saw the anti-Trump headline I knew it hat to be one of 3 FR people and “Cincinatus’ Wife” was first choice.

This is going on the assumption that there is anything left to save.

I for one believe the GOP-e no ball approach since they have got their majority is a sign that it is too late. The silver is being passed to the hands of Cornyn and the traitors.

.. In case you hadn't noticed, Trump actually listens to people and alters course based on their input. ...

I certainly have noticed. And he has NO track record of conservatism.

Scott Walker dropped down to 3% in the latest poll. That is why Wifey is so upset.

I used to be a fan of Rush’s, not so much now, but I wonder if those comments were meant to be sarcasm, which he does so POORLY, that it was his inability to express himself properly when using sarcasm that turned me off.

It’s possible.

He has no intention of winning. He is a Trojan horse. He is going to drop out some time in January and endorse Bush, Rubio, or Kasich.

Then tell me what Rush said!!
***********************************************************************
I was listening to it as “background” while I was working (I have to work for a living...imagine that) but I believe that since, in the past, that the RINOs and RNC said we should support candidates such as McCain and Romney SOLELY BECAUSE THEY WERE THE NOMINEE the RNC and RINOs should support Trump should he be the nominee. And the odds are growing that he may turn out to be the nominee.

Rush was reveling in seeing the RINOs in their quandary.

B I N G O !

The proud GOP. The party that since 1972, has given us Gerald Ford, George H. W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney. Not a whole lot of conservatives there. Oh wait, Did not they give us Ronald Reagan in 1980 & 1984? Not really, they tried to give us George H W Bush or even Gerald Ford, but we the people fought back.
Naa I will take the “Non-conservative” Trump of Fiorina or Carson or Cruz over all of your GOPe “conservatives”.
Non of the four are perfect but they sure as hell beat the perfect ones as defined by the GOPe.

You are missing something obvious. It’s a charade every four years that we seek out the most conservative candidate, have him lose to a wish washy moderate GOPe for the nomination, and then vote lesser of the evils for President. It’s a sham wow, without any wow.

Here is someone, it almost doesn’t matter what letter he has by his name, but it happens to be an R, who is rich enough to be unbeholden to special interests, outspoken, loves this country, and is clearly willing to take on the two headed cabal that is both parties full of Washington elites, and their vicious controlling media.

We were looking at a limp Jeb or the like running against Hillary or worse. WHAT DID WE HAVE TO LOSE when Trump showed up and wet the panties of our enemies on both sides of the aisle and every TV and news station? He is our hope to break up this ruling oligarchy, and the more scared and hateful they get, they prove how right we were about them.

It is hard for some conservatives to realize their traditional two year discussion on who is more conservative has become a non sequitur, but it has. The correct discussion now is, who can free us from an oligarchy that has denied us our constitutional rights, and is swiftly turning the country into a third world wasteland?

Why are you posting a slam piece on Donald Trump? Shouldn’t you be pimping Mitt Walker?

Maybe you’re paid to do both.

I feel like I’m missing something obvious here

Lets say you are on a boat lost at sea for serveral days. Your fellow passengers are Romney McCain Bush and Trump.

Romney McCain and Bush promise you that when you get back to land they will make you a juicy streak.

Meanwhile Trump is cooking up a chicken for dinner.

Romney McCain and Bush say, that’s not a steak it’s only a chicken!
For the last 3 days Romney McCain and Bush have been promising you steak but that is all they have.
Only Trump had actual food.

Cruz had steak but unfortunately his boat got lost in another direction.

Then you recall the last time Romney McCain and Bush had a cook out. They promised big juicy steaks but they came up with some lame excuse why there was no steak.
Something about Boehner or McConnell was suppose to pick up the steaks.
