The convictions of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito for the murder of UK student Meredith Kercher have been quashed by Italy's top appeals court.
The decision is the final ruling in the case relating to the 2007 murder.
Ms Kercher, 21, was found dead in a Perugia flat she shared with Ms Knox.
American Ms Knox and her Italian ex-boyfriend were found guilty in 2009, then freed in 2011 after the convictions were overturned. They were reinstated by another court last year. 'Full of joy'
The couple had always maintained their innocence and the decision by the Court of Cassation puts an end to their long legal battle.
The reasoning behind the decision will be made public in 90 days.
Ms Knox, 27, said she was "full of joy" after hearing the verdict.

Supporters of Amanda Knox leave the home of Knox's mother on Friday after the Italy high court rendered its decision.
She is one pretty young woman.
I recall seeing her being interviewed on CNN, I guess it was, and she was clearly a broken young woman. Not in the Jodi Arias way... just simply abused and broken, simply for having a freeze response.
If after 4 tries by Italian jurisprudence, failed to throw her in the poky...
Who actually did kill the girl those many years ago...
And if this latest ruling would have gone against her, would had have already developed a plan to go dark, and stay hidden for the rest of her life here???
Could she have stayed hidden in plain sight like most of the illegals in this country do anyway...
To do that you have to be someone the government does not really want to deal with...But in this case, she’s a cute white girl, and the government just cannot ignore that...
Ohhh well...I see the Italians going for a 5th try soon...
I might discern another gesture she might have considered using in that picture...
Directed of course at the media, and Italian investigators and prosecutors in this case...
Does she get to sue the Italian justice system for compensation for wrongful imprisonment now?
Those years she was imprisoned can never be replaced. But I hope she does get something meaningful... if Italy allows for some sort of compensatory justice.
I think it was Rudy Guede, an itinerant African immigrant. His fingerprints were found at the scene. He admitted being there prior to the killing (and using the toilet). And one of his palm prints was found in a blood stain underneath Kercher’s body.
And prior, Guede had been burglarizing homes and stealing & brandishing knives at the female occupants. The ****** did it.
Yup. The obozo administration would ship her to Italty quickly. . .because she is a cute White girl. . .now, on the other hand, if she was a 350lb, LsShonda Monique Twakela then she would be protected by obozo.
Yes. Looks like she picked the worst possible hair, glasses and top for herself in that pic and didn’t use much makeup. Probably to tone down her “pretty girl” image.
Every other photo I see, she looks gorgeous
And she still looks extremely attractive even in her worst photo.
Not many women can say that
I don’t care one whit about news media hyped crime cases. They are pure distractions that make no difference. Not Knox, not OJ Simpson, not Scot Peterson, not anyone. They are a ‘chat’ kind of curiosity and no more.
She’s hot.
Not too bad for no/minimal make up and being tried for murder in a foreign country...
