How sad.......sign of the times.......
“I make no claims to being a Puritan.”
Why not? America needs more Puritans. If we had more Puritans, there would be fewer trashy movies like this, fewer out of wedlock births, fewer divorces, fewer crimes, fewer slackers and @#!*% , and a healthier, more stable society.
HTTM was a reasonably entertaining John Cusack-led comedy where he inadvertently discovers a (hot tub) time machine back to 1987 to repair romantic transgressions of his youth.
The very end of the film (I think the credits) have the supporting characters using this time machine to do cool stuff like invent Google and whatnot.
Several years later, some producer got the wise idea to ditch Cusack and make a sequel with the (more entertaining) supporting characters and all the cool stuff they "invented" with said hot tub time machine.
Looked funny to me!
Just goes to show how low today’s society has sunk.
What I know about it (not too much) sounds exceedingly boring.
If I want porn, I’ll watch porn. Otherwise I want plot, acting, script etc.
I recall watching Sex and the City. OK at first, then it just got tedious and annoying.
You want a really good movie, watch the original *Swedish* “Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”. NOT the US remake.
American society has become a moral sewer.
Some of my best friends are Puritans! LOL!
Yeah...great pre-date question....Did you read or see ‘Fifty Shades?” If so....well...you know what you’re dealing with
ugh
That's funny.
Next they will make the same movie but with homosexual characters. No depravity is too deep for Hollywood.
No thanks.
Exactly. Youporn.com doesn't steal 3 hours of my time and $70 (once I calculate the cost of tickets, concessions, babysitter and travel time). And if I want a movie with a lousy plot, acting, script, etc., I'll watch The Expendables. At least it has stuff blowing up.
This film had nothing.
*blink* I mentioned something about it missing their projections. I think you misclicked in your reply.
civilization is finished
I haven’t seen the film, and probably won’t be seeing it. I’m only reacting to the manner of some people who have seen it.
Do you intend to check it out?
Great way to screen your dates
No, I haven’t read the book and don’t plan on seeing the movie but, from everything I’ve read, it encompasses everything we don’t want our sons and daughters to idealize in a relationship.

The liberals and Hollywood are doubling down on “bread and circuses” to keep the masses sated. From my lips to God’s ears that some people will wake up to what’s being sold to them as the good life.
I will go out on a limb here......
I only read an excerpt of book one. Very poorly written.
BUT.... I did see the movie last night with my husband. I liked it. So did hubby.
Basically it’s a love story with some kinky sex thrown in. That’s it.
Everyone who is having fits about this is over thinking this movie.
It’s basically the same as most modern chick flicks.
Premarital sex in a budding relationship.
If a person tolerates movies with premarital sex in them, then in my opinion that person is a hypocrite for hating this movie for it.
