Notice how it is never THEIR fault?

They give advice which proves to be 100% incorrect....and still it is the nurses fault.

I remember the 50s. I remember that most of my older cousins had polio. I didn’t because my Mom kept me home and washed everything in clorox. She also ironed sheets at midnight and worked all the time in the house in an OC way.

I remember the signs in the windows and the iron lungs and how swimming pools were off limits to us and all of that.

I also remember lining up at the high school for the sugar cubes with the new vaccine. The line snaked through town for blocks. I recall that is was a fine fall day but I could be wrong.

You had better pinch yourself to see if you are awake yet because you are clearly dreaming if you think that PC will be suspended and altruism will rise.

Isn’t stopping flights a method of quarantining? Yet the doctor argues AGAINST it!

And I've heard several nitiwits say that if we stop commercial flights, we cannot move the necessary health workers and supplies to the affected African nations.

Duh, so, use military and charter flights to move health workers and supplies.

The idiocy being directed at the public on this matter is pretty amazing.

Seems to me that in 1590, in South Texas, Europeans brought in small pox, and 90% of the Comanche population was wiped out. Maybe the American continent is highly susceptible to this new virus. God did mention about the condition of men´s heart, the violence among men that could unleash a pestilence. I suppose Ebola is a pestilence.

“Well since she wasn’t part of the high-risk group she wasn’t being monitored officially and they probably told her the risk to her was very minimal. So when she started to feel under the weather she stayed home from work but upon developing a fever she called and got brought in for testing.”

Yep, exactly. And because of that attempt to “not spread panic” she may well have transmitted it when she first got the cold.

She should have showered before she took off her protective gear. Even asbestos abatement contractors are required to do so. If she didn’t shower then the question is why didn’t she?

Yours stories are similar to what I was told from that time. Had an uncle who got polio as a child pre vaccine. That era was rough and people don’t understand just how recent that really was. We are talking only 60-80 years ago, not the 1500’s.

I think this Ebola is hard to get, but it does happen and is deadly. Think of the panic going on right now with the family and friends of this healthcare worker. All because Obama decided it was good policy to let all people from West Africa in the country.

Yeah, that judge, judge jughead. How did an urbane place like Dallas elect a rube like that dolt?

I went to bed last night thinking that things were too quiet and that the storm was not over. Like passing through the eye of a hurricane. I thought that people did not yet understand that we were in a waiting period and had not dodged any bullet yet. The wait is over now and the bullet has hit.

When do health care workers go on strike and refuse to administer to the sick? Whey do they start demanding more pay for risk? When does the cross-border invasion by legions of sick and exposed people start.

:nbelievable, eh?

Now WTH is this little tidbit? According to this yahoo article there’s another person in isolation? Third paragraph “another person also remains in isolation. ..”

I don’t know if this is poor writing or a third person who may have symptoms???

That poor hospital and its workers. They can’t win. Now unless you want to be sued you better admit all patients with 103 degree temperature. It MIGHT be something serious. And if it is serious, good luck hiring a medical team.

No, I am wide awake and as sarcastic as usual. It is this misguided altruism that we are stuck on, that by enslaving our future generations with more crushing debt to save the world we are somehow being good. Doubt it will change until we crash.
