LOL -- my last cat would meow at me, jump on the bed, swat at my nose, etc. to get me up (too early) in the morning. When all else failed, she'd stand at the springy door stop and twang at it until I finally gave in.

One of our cats ‘riffs’ the metal blinds near our bed until we get up to let him out. Usually at 4:00 AM.

That was one careful cat. I don’t think she got in more than a couple of hits on the lemon.
And she didn’t even bother to taste it like that poor little dog who licked one and just about
jumped on the moon.
Dogs can eat a larger variety of foods than cats can, and cats usually stay away from foods
that shouldn’t be in their diets. Except white tuna packed in extra virgin olive oil. Every
time I open a can of Starkist, I only get about 1/4 of the can because the cats eat the rest.
And YES! I admit it. I’m putty in their paws.
