USUALLY cats aren’t amenable to ANYthing that OTHERS want them to do. THAT is how this cat is so remarkable.

Suki has appeared before but the relative few who
have not seen her will enjoy.

This is what happens when you forget to teach girls that cats can’t be trained.

Our fireplace mantel was covered with trinkets. One time I saw our cat preparing to leap up on it and I thought there was no place to land but, with only abut two square inches of space, he did it. I was absolutely amazed. Then he delicately walked the length of the mantel, picking his way between and around the trinkets without disturbing a one. Again, I was absolutely amazed. The he leapt off the left side for an easy jump to the floor but midway through his fall he smacked his head on the corner of a TV stand beside the fireplace. I couldn’t believe he could miss such an easy jump. Cats are strange creatures.

I hear it is very difficult to train cats (to obey) compared to dogs. I once saw a trained cat act on David Letterman but that was about it

Impressive training but...dogs do it because they instinctively want to please their masters and live for the praise.

Cats do it for the treats and nibbles used to coax them onward. At least this cat does.

Even dogs need positive reinforcement in the form of treats.

I’ve known cats that were very human-centric & they could be trained to do simple things. This young lady appears to have made a career of playing with her cat, & the amount of time & effort shows.
