With the help of a self-developed computer model, a team of researchers forecasted how apatite would have crystalized from cooling bodies of lunar magma early in the Moon's history. The model proved that the abnormally hydrogen-rich apatite crystals seen in many Moon rock samples may not have developed within a water-rich environment as previously though.
"The mineral apatite is the most widely used method for estimating the amount of water in lunar rocks, but it cannot be trusted," said Jeremy Boyce of the UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences in a statement. "Our new results show that there is not as much water in lunar magma as apatite would have us believe."

But...but....but,but,but.....they’re SCIENTISTS! How could they be wrong?
Exactly.
Exactly... How much of “science” (greek: Knowledge), historically, has been proven wrong?
I have to laugh at those who claim to know what the “best science” is, considering.
Yeah. How could they be wrong? Wasn’t there a general consensus?
To paraphrase another FReeper (I wish I could remember who so that I could give all due credit): If it wasn’t for science being wrong all the time, there would be no science.
See, scientists use these computer models. They use computers because computers don’t make mistakes, they are perfect. So these models can’t be wrong. About anything. Ever.
Unlike climate “science”
- nobody is equating these scientists with Naziism
- no one is calling for “dry rockers” to be thrown in prison
- there are no ‘D-’ divinity school graduates making crappy movies and a half-billion dollars in speaking fees promoting wet moon rocks
This is just a refinement in the theory. Sound like science, the way science should be.
Who knows..conditions could be different
on The Dark Side of the Moon.
Could kinda put a crimp in colonizing
the moon if true.
Oh hell, I just lost my apatite for going to the Moon.
most of the time they have to be dragged kicking and screaming by other scientists. evolutionists, a bastion of atheists, haven’t admitted anything. despite the exposed hoaxes, that so many of them wrote papers and books on, and made careers from.
global warming? they’ve refused to give that lie uip despite the emails detailing deliberate data tampering to support hypotheses, and a conspiracy to destroy any scientist or other person who spoke against global warming or exposed their lying scheme.
they are just like anyone else wo is liberal and has an agenda they want to push by any means necessary.
Kudos!

Misleading mineral may have resulted in overestimate of water in moon

[snip] Boyce and his colleagues created a computer model to accurately predict how apatite would have crystallized from cooling bodies of lunar magma early in the moon’s history. Their simulations revealed that the unusually hydrogen-rich apatite crystals observed in many lunar rock samples may not have formed within a water-rich environment, as was originally expected. Politicians or anyone else for that matter.
The Moon is only three days away, so besides recycled urine, this wouldn’t be an impediment to lunar settlements.
Well put.
