This happened to me on SR 41 in Tampa on Monday March 24th. This pathetic excuse for a human being tailgated me for about three minutes. After about a minute, and me shaking my head, I pulled out my phone and started recording. I couldn't move over because there were trucks in the right lane, and I sure as heck wasn't going to speed on a rainy day with the roads being as slick as they were. I was turning left in about a half-mile when this happened. Now bear in mind, that this guy had already passed a truck in a left turn lane, was tailgating and driving recklessly on a wet slick road, wasn't paying attention, and all in all being an ignorant ass. Not once was I mouthing off, I never brake checked him, and in fact until I watched the video after the accident I didn't even know he shot a bird at me because I wasn't looking at him at all, I was paying attention to the road while holding the phone up with my right hand. I've recorded circumstances like this before, catching idiots doing stupid things, but never ever had this happen.
He initially fled the scene of the accident, but thanks to this video he has been caught and charged. Massive props to the Sheriffs Department and most especially the Highway Patrol who responded to the scene. This moron could have easily killed somebody with his moronic behavior, and my laughing at the end would have been replaced with tears. Needless to say though, I've never seen Karma come back so fast.

WOW! I go to work and come back to over 600,000 views and find it's on theblaze.com and various other media sites. I'm flabbergasted! (love for an excuse to use that word). I'm also a little saddened and shocked at some of the comments. After the umpteenth death threat and billionth time being called a b!#$h/c$%t/whore/slut/add whatever epithet you want... I am extremely amazed at how rude people are.
Apparently people seem to think that they were right there and know exactly what was going on. You weren't there. You don't know what happened other than the truth that I told. And apparently I did get a comment of someone who he had done this same thing to... thank you for that.
I appreciate the comments of those that, even if they disagreed with me, they didn't resort to bullyish behavior, they stated their response and I respect that. To those that wished death upon me, I truly hope your life isn't as miserable as you portray online. Because some of those comments belong to people that belong in a psycho ward, or at the very least, anger management/therapy. They were rude, uncalled for, and just downright mean.
So because of those hateful warmongers, I have disabled all commenting on this video. Have fun talking about me in your forums, and on Reddit, or wherever else you talk smack on. Just know... I won't be there. I think my ears are itching... somebody must be talking about me. Where's my Q-Tip?

Obstructing traffic in the passing lane for miles while holding up a cell phone to video the person who is wanting to pass is what is truly moronic. That is a textbook example of instigating an incident, and to think otherwise is, well - never mind....
I don’t know what state you live in, but in all of the states I’ve lived in, the left lane is the passing lane, the right is the travel lane.
Your ignorance is what causes accidents. Stop driving like an Old man and start following the rules.
Considering the video shows her maintaining her speed and lane, and him driving agressively as he passed her, and his attempt to cut her off as he did so, no court should find her guilty of his driving actions. Had she attempted to swerve at him, or actually hit him, prior to his wreck, maybe, but in this case, she's only guilty of being only slightly less of a jerk than him.
You overlook the speeding aspect of it.
The ironic thing is it is the poor driver that needs people to get out of his way and make his way for him.
The good driver makes his own way and knows he is in control and trusts no one to do his work for him.

Because she was going only slightly faster than the flatbed truck in the right lane. She might actually have been deliberately matching speed with the flatbed to block the pickup from passing on the right. The right thing to do would have been to put on her right turn signal and, if necessary, back off a bit so she could move right. Then, the pickup could have gone on his way, and she would have had plenty of time to set up for her turn.
But no, her thing is to record incidents to post on YouBoob, and if she couldn't find one, she sure as heck was going to create one.
Lane, certainly. She wasn't about to move. But speed? Look again. She sat beside the flatbed for how long? Then, did the flatbed suddenly slow down or did she speed up? You see just one shot of her speedometer. Then, you see the guy in the black truck trying to pass on the right, and suddenly falling back, several times. Did he inexplicably brake while trying to give her the middle finger? No, not likely. She sped up to prevent him from passing her at all, no matter which lane he was in.
What is the world is a passing lane? A passing lane is when there is a two lane highway and for a while there is another lane for people to pass slower vehicles. Slower vehicle should move right in these instances to let faster traffic pass.
And on a multilane side, if one is traveling over the speed limit, how can be be going too slow?
If she has room to move right, he has opportunity to pass on the right and should take it if he wants to speed.
If she had been going slow, under the speed limit like the trucks in the slow lane, I’d agree she should not be in the fast lane.
But she wasn’t.
Well then, she was obviously in the wrong for staying in the left while videoing.
She also forgot about Colorado's Safety Rules and so did the other driver:

Unacceptable aggressive driving behavior includes tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, passing on the right or the shoulder of the highway, cutting people off, failure to allow others to merge or pass, obscene hand gestures, honking, yelling or flashing lights, exceeding the speed limit, bumping or ramming another vehicle or brandishing weapons.

The law here in CO. And almost certainly another dozen states or more.
As I stated up thread, we here in CO got tired of sanctimonious drivers such as you, and passed a law aimed specifically at your driving habits.
I heard about it on WFLA this morning.
Under those conditions, here in CO you get ticketed for not moving to the right.
I chalked it up to him passing her, realizing she's recording him, slowing down to flag her off, then speeding up again, not her speeding up/slowing down. Regardless, he cut in front of her as his final move and he was the only one operating his own vehicle before he lost control. She didn't cause him to wreck, he caused that himself. Get her for impeding traffic, possibly use of cell phone while driving (if that's a law there), but she is in no way responsible for him wrecking his own truck. He is.

If you truly drive as you are inferring from your posts, you should seriously consider taking your travel on back roads, you are a real danger to others on multilane roads.
Had she not been out patrolling the left lane, and breaking at least one law herself if not several others, seeking to create just this sort of situation for her smug little YouTube video collection, would this have occurred at all?

She is still not responsible for his actions. He is.
Get her for what she was responsible for, but he's the only one who stomped on his gas pedal and turned his wheel to prove his point and he paid for it.
She’s just as guilty of road rage as he is. Unsafe movement. Contributory negligence. Refusing to yield. Distracted driving.
He no doubt got nailed legally and financially for his temper and stupidity.
She needs to get nailed for hers. It’s every bit as dangerous.
It was foolish of him to drive as he did, but she was the unprovoked instigator.
I drive professionally, and see her kind of driving several times a day. It’s aggressive driving using a passive approach, and a real danger to others.

I think we live in different worlds in terms of highways and freeways.
I take your word for it, so explain to me, someone who drives on freeways and highways that don’t have cross streets everywhere, why is it dangerous to pass on the right?
