Baylor beating Kansas State 28-14; A&M beat Alabama last week when they were ranked #1. Go Bears, Gig'em Aggies.
Why is this breaking news?!?
Good news for Notre Dame (GO IRISH!!!)
bttt
And Stanford is holding that “High-Powered” Oregon offense to 7 points at halftime.
I am watching right now!! I have the game backed up quite a bit, though. It’s 14-7 Baylor with just under 9 minutes to go in the first half. I will have to avoid this thread from now on so as not to see anymore spoiler posts, lol.
Sic ‘em Bears!!!!!
I thought Baylor was in Maine. Or is it the Brazos that’s in Maine?
I spent time in San Angelo. Does that count?
;)
i don’t know anything about college football, but all big upsets should be blamed on hurricane Sandy, just like they are doing with bad economic data...
Baylor University (1845) is in Texas. When it was founded, Kansas had not yet been opened to settlement, but people were going through Kansas on the Oregon Trail, not realizing that there were no football teams in Oregon either.
LOL!
I was at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo.
Baylor is in Waco. You might have heard of that little ole Texas town before.
Good one.
Because some of us enjoy things in life to periodically distract us from the normal doom and gloom.
If the Mayan calendar were true, the Cubs would have won the World Series.
Thanks. I pulled the game up and am watching it.
Kudos to Vandy, they got win number 7 against Rocky Flop.
Sets up the Battle of the 0-Fers between Kentucky and Tennessee.
If somebody told me that Tennessee and Auburn would not win a single conference game between them this year, I would have said they were crazy.
“the Cubs would have won the World Series.”
Even the Mayans knew that was impossible in no less than 10,000 years...
I’m glad you did. Baylor is not folding. In fact they are playing tougher as the game progresses.
Tennessee and Auburn may be at the bottom of the SEC, but the top of the SEC filling out the 4th through 10th spots in the BCS is impressive.
Looks like K State is going down..Baylor was one of my many schools thanks to the Army so I’m crossing my fingers...
LOL because they all could beat up on Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky and Arkansas this year....four SEC teams that usually do make a bowl game, that all bottomed out this year.
Vandy probably is the sixth best team in the conference this year, that says it all.
Not all good news on the Baylor front, the women’s BBall team had their 42-game unbeaten string snapped.
All tied at 14 between Stanford and Oregon.
I think they should rename the Big 12 to the Arena Football League.
Stanford got hosed on that interference call.
Florida Bama Georgia back in it?!!! Holy Crapoly!
Norte Damm hasn’t beat anyone notable.
Florida won’t be in it after next week, not they would be anyway since they have no shot at the SEC Title.
They’ve looked terrible the last few weeks.
I’d even say FSU is back in it as well, if they pound Florida like I think they will. But they play in a weak conference, which is killing them.
I wonder how Ohio State fans must be feeling right now.
Texas A&M is not in the running for #1 with 2 losses. But they have been playing as well as any team. They beat Bama and in their 2 losses to LSU and the Gators, they were leading in both games.
Please stop dissing your team! Driskel is the bomb and GO SEC!
Hey, Auburn won! Against a Grambling type school... Chiznick may have a chance.
I’ts over now! BEARS WIN BIG!!!
My Grand Daughter goes to Baylor and I’m sure she just ran on the field after Baylor’s win.
ND is #1....
Well I’ve always been a pessimist, so that way I’m never disappointed.
NOTRE DAME IS YOUR NEW NUMBER 1!!!!
ND vs SEC Champ in the BCS title game. It’s a lock.
Still have USC though.
Wouldn’t it be funny if Ohio State winds up as the only unbeaten?
Me too. I think that's the only reason anyone spends time in San Angelo ;-)
Wonder if the Western Sky steakhouse is still there?
Cant think of a better match up..
Stanford wins in OT
17-14
Most years I’d bet on USC but this year I think ND will pull it out..
It’s 1973 all over again.
After tonight, who knows what can happen, that’s what makes college football so great.
Kudos to your granddaughter if she was at the game, because those stands were mostly empty. It’s sad that so many Baylor students missed such a huge night for their school.
