CNN Panel: Trump's July Fourth "Salute To America" Event Was Like "Schoolhouse Rock Trump Version"
RCP Video ^ | 7-5-2019 | Tim Hains

A large panel of CNN contributors give reactions and takes blasting President Trump's Fourth of July "Salute to America" event and his speech talking about American and military history.

Former Admiral John Kirby said he was "troubled about the militaristic tone of the whole thing" and mocked President Trump's speech as "essentially 8th-grade history that was fairly sepia-toned and saccharine in its depth and context."

"I could have gotten this off of watching Schoolhouse Rock," Kirby added.

(Remember to watch/read it all.)

I would suspect that many who are at or above ‘O-6’ are politicians moreso than defenders of their country. Kirby is a prime example, having held several PR positions in the Administration of pResident Ebola. Of course he is a dummicrat.

Doubtful they even teach American History in schools anymore, and if they did they shouldn't be waiting to 8th grade for it.

They don't much know about HISTORY, but they know about LGBTQXYZ...

Illinois House votes to require LGBT history curriculum be taught in schools

EXCERPT...
Lawmakers in the Illinois state House of Representatives voted Wednesday to approve a plan that includes historical figures in the LGBT civil rights movement in K-12 textbooks, NPR reported.

The measure, which now heads to Gov. J.B. Pritzker's (D) desk for a signature, requires schools to include "the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in the history of this country and this State" in official textbooks

Nothing was wrong with school house rock. The people over at CNN have to be the most depressed people on the planet. And it’s only going to get worse for them. They better be hiding all the sharp objects over at CNN .
Winning big time.

“It was so the dummies Dems could understand, you idgits.”

Seeing how lacking these knuckleheads are in American History, especially since it really isn’t taught in schools anymore, I think many needed a refresher course.

The Donald offered an alternate narrative on a American history that the left hate. Celebrating the role of the military for defending our freedoms was entirely appropriate.

The left’s version of school house rock is slavery, racism, sexism, colonialism and inequality. Myopic and boring.

"the speech was essentially 8th-grade history"

Well, people have got to learn it SOMEWHERE! Trump was just providing a catch-up tutorial for our historically-challenged young people.

The left always describe their latest heroes as “rock stars,” so what are they complaining about?

The people over at CNN have to be the most depressed people on the planet. And it’s only going to get worse for them.

If they were journalists over there everything would be fine, but they are instead leftwing activists and Trump for 6 more years will send them to their advanced therapy sessions.

To be fair, a lot of would-be conservatives shun American roots too. Hence come amusing accusations of hijacking conversations by furnishing relevant background information.
