Fire General Sleeping Dog Mattis
White House Petitions ^ | February 22, 2018 | Ray Starmann

Posted on 02/22/2018 5:50:53 PM PST by pboyington

Secretary of Defense General James Mattis has done NOTHING to stop the PC insanity and lunatic social engineering polices that are destroying the combat power and fighting spirit of the US military. Physical standards are evaporating to accommodate women in the combat arms and Special Forces. Gay weddings at West Point, NCO's accused of committing 'microaggressions" when disciplining USAF cadets, communist army officers, social justice instructors at West Point, a male pregnancy SOP in the Army, transgender showers, Navy collisions on the high seas, a general fired for calling a woman, 'sweetheart,' no grenade and land nav requirements at army basic training have all occurred on his watch. Mattis is putting our military and national security at risk. Fire General Mattis, Mr. President.

I think he’s got more important things going on right now. He’ll get to that after the swamp is drained. JMO

Who thought he was going to change anything in the first place?

Jonah Goldberg said back around the end of last year that he figures the insiders, the business as usual crowd apart from President Trump is mostly in charge. People I would call the RINO’s and wonks and so on.

Mattis is one of them no doubt.

IMHO they are also backed up by the judiciary.

Sorry but your hopes for change don’t count in the scheme of things.

That’s a good point. But he could still put a stop to most of the crap with little time expended.

Actually he did pretty good. Notice he said they must be deployable and very few transgenders can fit that category.

No there is nothing more important going on. Those are the very building blocks. Those things he has allowed are fundamentals. We aren’t fighting to survive in Stalingrad right now. THIS is the time to shake the living hell out of the military and root out every vestige of political correctness.

In the VERY earliest moments of WWII, we had ruthless purges and firings of officers to get rid of the prewar officers mentality. The basics matter more than anything else going on today.

When he opposed Trump on the transgenders I knew Mad Dog was just another political don’t rock the boat general. He is not going to change any of Obama’s insane PC policies.

This might be naive but why are very few deployable?

“This might be naive but why are very few deployable?”

That’s a very interesting question. Is there such a thing as “deployment deferments”? Similar to college deferments of the draft era.

I find the concept of few being deployable insane. My best recollection when I was in, if you wore the uniform, you were deployable.

They complain that everybody who wants to join is fat and out of shape. Maybe their PC policies are keeping young macho men from joining.

Mattis went from a newly minted division commander (2-star) under GWB who may or may not have had a future in the Marines (getting above Major General in the Corps is incredibly difficult) to full general (4-star) under Obama. You tell me: who is Mattis beholden to?

How about get off your tin can and vote conservatives into Congress that will make laws that form an effective military? SECDEF is only one man and he is cleaning up a substantial mess.

"Maybe their PC policies are keeping young macho men from joining.

I am sure that is part of the reason, but fit young American men may be in short supply to begin with and abundant civilian employment opportunities also help to keep quality enlistees in short supply.

Trump was easily conned by a number of his appointees: we deserve better.

Nice try for comrade RS...fire Mattis? Lol. Anyone that served with him would love to talk to the petitioner (probably written in St. Petersburg.)

Every general who wasn’t purged by Obama is part of the deep state. Trump should have hired those who were fired by Obama. Or promote some young officers.
