Hey everyone! A follow up to my announcement earlier this week. My book is available today on Amazon. If you like quirky, satirical, historical fiction with a bit of a western flavor, it'll make great beach reading this weekend and for the summer. I think you'll find it timely, too, as it's an allegorical tale about fake news and the gullibility of some folks to drink it up. If you want to take a look, check the link out.
I might get the book, once I stop suffering the national illness known as “fake news and the gullibility of some folks”.
Well done. Good luck.
LOL! I'd like to think the epidemic is recent, but as you'll see in my book, it's been going on for a LONG time!
Thanks bramps!
For less than $3, it is worth it.
Mrs. Dacula is in the hospital and this will give me something to read while she is resting.
Mrs. Dacula will love it, too! And hopefully it'll lift her spirits. Hope she's feeling better soon!
I know JimRob is very much against ads on Free Republic, but it would be nice to have a small, unobtrusive link to Amazon on one side of the page.
That way, folks could check out your book - or anything else - and FR would get a piece of the sale.
Just a thought.
Yeah, I would think he doesn't want to overload things with the same nonsense you see on other sites. That's why I posted in Personal and Bloggers, hoping it would be okay, especially since I'm a long-time member here and the topic is relevant to some of the things we talk about.
Fingers crossed he'll let me keep it up!
Best of luck. I’ll check it out.
Gesh.....No way don’t bog down those 1’s and 0’s the duct tape my give out........!!
Thanks Bigg Red!
LOL! I'd never forgive myself if it was me who accidentally took down Free Republic just for my own personal vanity!
btt
KSCITYBOY, I assume you’re from Kansas City, you’ll find a lot of that place in this book, and quite a few articles from the old Kansas City Times — a paper notorious during this period for its unabashed support of the James and Younger boys. Throughout the 1870s, they were in a print war with the St. Louis Globe over them.
Good luck with the book
Just bought on amazon for my iPad.
Thanks CGASMIA68!
Thanks Larry! I hope you like it!
I enjoyed a series on Netflix about the Pinkertons which took place in KC.
Probably filmed in Canada.
