If memory serves, the Ryan’s divorce decree was never sealed. The custody documents were sealed.
The Chicago Tribune was able to get a court to unseal the custody records in the “public interest”.
He can’t do anything about the birth records in Hawaii, but I remember there was actually some focus on his passport records. I think there was a DC cop who might’ve had them, and died, crazy stuff like that. But he would be able to get to those I think.
He will have the spooks. They can get anything.
There is a Public Records Act (or similar in name) that governs federal records esp. of officials and their work records. Usually they are turned over to the National Archives for processing or to a library.
I don’t know what the exact rules are about who can open them, rescind an Executive Order, or have them rescheduled because several bodies are involved in the process.
However, Comrade John Conyers (D-Mich) once tried to have all the records of the House Committee on Un-American Activities, House Internal Security Committee destroyed, and when he failed at that, he imposed an arbitrary and illegal 75 years seal on it. (They contained too much information on his Communist Party USA affiliations and possible covert membership, as well as that of other Democrat officials).
Those records were opened by the threat of a lawsuit by a maverick historian (he beat me to it by about 6 months), and the records were reduced back to the legal 25 year hold (mainly to protect living individuals from retribution, exposure as FBI operatives, etc).
Those records are now open to the public though some seem to be missing (interestingly enough those are the ones I want to see).
I’m also interested in what Sandy Burglar Berger destroyed when he stole classified foreign policy records from the National Archives without any real punishment (He could have gone to jail for 10 years but the FIX was in, just like AG Janet Reno did to the organized crime investigation of LIUNA which would have linked the Clintons to mob money).
I suspect that the shredding machines at the White House have burned out many motors over the past 3 months. I can hear the sound from my office.
I don’t want it to even appear that Trump considered using sealed records against anyone. much less actually do it. BUT I have no problem with (for openness) to direct his people to fully honor FOIA requests. Hell I don’t even have a problem with Him tweeting out subtle hints like; “interesting FOIA search “Barry O’’Bomber” , just say’n”....
Grade transcripts and college applications are not public records. In fact there is a federal law called FERPA that restricts access to them.
Birth certificates are not public records. If you try to obtain one you will be asked if you are the person or a close relative and it will be illegal to lie.
Rental applications are obviously not public records. How would this get into a public database?
The availability of driving information varies by state. It may also be available from private databases where it may have been obtained by means of questionable legality.
Birth certificates are demanded by school officials, little league couches, passport officials and pretty much anyone that asks, unless there is an executive order prohibiting that document. No court order needed.
But none of these people can obtain the birth certificate unless the subject of the certificate gives it to them.

Actually, if it were to be found a person is ineligible for a particular position in which they held, all acts done while that person was in office become null and void. The precedence for this was the recent Labor Board members in which Obama erroneously appointed to that. The passage of regulations became null and void and had to be redone or just thrown out. There was great consternation over this recent Obama fiasco and one that does not get mentioned very often by either side..
Interesting. . .There’s bound to be duplicate files somewhere, even if he moves them—very hard to make government files totally disappear from all archives. I want Trump to release the FBI files on the Clintons, too. . .

Obama would lose his pension and SS detail. Kagan and Sotomayor would have to leave the USSC. There are undoubtedly laws against fraudulently gaining federal employment—including forging a draft registration, SS number, birth certificate, etc. And then there’s treason. And fraudulently gaining access to classified data.

If the release of all these records are subject to the specific approval of the recorded individual, why did Zero need to subject himself to the questions and ridicule to sign an EO as his first act of his “transparent” administration to seal all his past, subject to a felony charge???
I think there is probable cause. I think he was born in Hawaii to a minor and that when his mother married Lelo Soetero, and Obama was adopted he became an Indonesian citizen. At that time Indonesia didn't allow for multiple citizens ships. At that time then, Obama would have had only and only been an Indonesian.
I think when his mother shipped him back to Hawaii for the grandmother to raise, I think Obama never applied for US citizenship. There is also cause to wonder if he legally changed his name back.

Well....you wouldn’t expect any of the Bushes to make any waves, would you? If it is EVER to be done; Trump is the only one I can think of who has the chops to get it done.
