Take the M14 bus from 14/C to 14/6th
Jump on the F train one stop up to 23
You’ll be right there

Pretty fsry. On the other side of town. It’s like nine Avenue blocks east and ten regular blocks north.

Your post brings to mind something I read years ago;

All battles are fought at the intesection of four map quadrants.....at night.....in the rain

Right you are and having lived in Gramercy Park ( on one of the 4 blocks that REALLY is Gramercy Park and NOT the now stupidly expanded area ! ) I thought that I had written Park Ave. South, but now see that that part of my post somehow didn’t make it. *sigh*

From the photos, it was a substantial explosion., Door glass blown out, plenty of debris in the road. I think the report of number of injured is credible.

Hardly a big deal. :)

I didn’t even know there was a 4th ave at all until just a couple years ago. And I’ve lived in NYC all but one of my 50+ years.

LOL....not a "big deal" for you either. :-)

OTOH, I was sure that I had included that info in my post, but it was late and for all I know, I goofed somehow, when posting.

As you know, lower Manhattan, because of its age, isn't as laid out in straight lines, as the rest of the city is. That's why streets start and stop/meander around somewhat.
