Wednesday on MSNBCs Morning Joe, Chuck Todd, the moderator of NBCs Meet the Press, quipped that anti-intellectualism had taken over the Republican Party.
(snip)
Anti-intellectualism, Todd said, thats whats taken over the party. Its almost this, you know, theres almost this disdain with some in Trump world that are like, Yeah OK, so the college educated crowd isnt for it. Theres almost a disdain that theyre embracing about this. But it is hurting the party. Its going to hurt the party down the road.

What did Chuckie major in ? Beer pong and marijuana ?
“It appears that Chuck Todd never finished a 4 year degree at GW. A college dropout is telling us that we are anti intellectuals:”
Bingo! Love how in USA Today two years ago they did a puff piece asking Todd why he “chose” GWU as if that equaled a degree.
He's just not literate enough...
Dear Chuck Anti-Common Sense and Anti Americanism took over the Democratic Party long ago. So-called intellectualism of today is nothing more than Pc brainwashing by the liberal academy.
What is intelligent about the democratic party? Oh, that’s right...they have the most intelligent woman in the world.
That's what the voices in the earpiece told her last night, anyways... :)
I heard on WJR AM 760 radio (Detroit) Frank Beckmann’s phone interview with “black comedian” Dick Gregory. I must not know an intellectual when I hear one.
It’s the “Intellectuals”, the professional Politicians and lawyers that have sent the country into a downward spiral, so why the hell should anyone listen to the same old same old?
If the accepted definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result, then the only SANE thing to do is vote for Trump.
Lol, from a loser who didn’t graduate from college (a proprietary one at that— GWU— for dumb rich kids). Versus Trump (Ivy League grad) and his major supporters: Ingraham, Coulter, Icahn, Carson, Thiel, et al. (all Ivy League and/or Stanford grads).
As an intellectual (not that it should matter to sensible people, but my undergraduate and doctoral credentials are top-tier in all respects), I disagree with this claim. It’s not an objection to intellectuals, to facts, or to knowledge, it’s a fundamental disagreement with the use of credentials to wield power over others and to stifle dissent.
Thanks for the quote.
Considering how the Yale and Harvard grads have about ruined the country and prepped the world for another war, yes, I’ll take Trump any day of the week over “intellectuals”.
That’s one of Chelsea’s better pictures!
You're welcome. I was pleased to have stumbled over it myself.
Here's another one from the same source.
