Neither should allow Hillary's network shills to determine the subject matter.
Instead, I propose:
1. Each creates one page of bullet points of generallized subjects.
2. They then have reps meet each other to see which subjects they agree upon.
3. They then agree to what amount of time they give to present their positions.
4. They then agree to what amount of time they allow for reponses.

I would suggest a resurrection of Hannity & Colmes for the debate: everyone will know Hannity is for Trump and Colmes is for Bernie, so the questions and responses will balance themselves out.
5. Then they decide to which protesters get to rush the stage first......................
NOPE....Trump goes in and lowers the boom on both of them, no pre planning, no exchange of ideas...
Trump needs to be unpredictable in his debates, that’s why he won all the Rep. debates, no one knew what he was going to say next...
I’m not interested in watching politically biased people trying their Gotcha Games.
Just let the two make their speeches on agreed upon subjects and respond directly to the other.
I guarantee that Hillary will be one of the subjects and they will gang up on her and destroy her.
It would be a ratings success.
If Donald really is going to debate Sanders, then he needs to do his homework and study the issues. Bernie is fluent in describing government functionality, and Donald much less so. Donald relies heavily on emotionalism and rhetoric.
This certainly raises Bernies stock, hopefully, it does not lower Donald’s. Trump is right about one thing though, I expect the ratings for this debate to skyrocket. Megyn Kelly may try to finagle her way onto the panel, to recoup some credibility after her maiden voyage program wound up somewhat dead in the digital waters.
They will probably rehearse together to make one another look good.
Donald knows EXACTLY what he is doing. He is helping to shine a spotlight on Bernie, with Hillary nowhere to be found. This is tactical on Trump’s behalf, make no mistake.
Correct, this Li like Rush’s old campaign. This could really screw up the Dem convention. Get the popcorn.
Yes, order MUCH popcorn. Soros, Ayers and others will have their heads spinning trying to sort out which protestors to back. ALL OUT WAR.
Bernie Sanders is a Communist.
Debate over.
Agree.
Hillary only has the nomination with the super delegates she’s bought off.
If she loses California to Sanders, it’ll be complete chaos.
The MSM has been downplaying it. The Dem Underground crowd hate Hillary. They are poised for riots.
It wouldn’t look good for them to collude even if it would be a spectacle. Donald has a larger vision. And remember, it’s as important for Donald to repudiate Bernie’s foolishness as much as it is for him to repudiate Hillary’s.
Sanders has an army of violent anarchists. VIOLENT, some of them illegals with nothing to lose and all the backing of the 0dungheap regime. 0dungheap would love nothing more than mass civil disturbance. He’s been working on it for 8 years.
I too, like yourself and people who like to think about things like this, have been thinking about ground rules for this. I came up with these last night:
1. Each candidate gets two minutes to open and two minutes to close.
2. Each candidate gets to pick one “moderator” and the televising network gets to pick the third.
3. Each candidate gets 1/3 of the audience tickets for the event, and the network gets the remaining 1/3 of the tickets.
4. Neither political party is involved in any part of the process at all.
5. Each candidate submits 5 questions they want asked. These could be asked of both candidates or addressed to the other candidate. Neither candidate gets to see any of the other questions in advance except of course the ones they submit.
Our prayers should be with Donald to address the situation sanely.
I think such a debate (which I guess is going to happen) would be cordial. Sanders is fiery but doesn’t attack personally. Trump only attacks personally if he’s attacked first, then it’s gloves off. So I think Sanders will go off on the banks, Trump will say stuff like “I know these people, believe me they are not nice people. We’ll keep an eye on them” and leave each other alone. They will probably both take shots at Hillary though. Should be fun to watch.
