Nobody's Stealing The Election From Trump
American Thinker ^ | April 2, 2016 | Daniel John Sobieski

On the heels of a Marquette University poll showing Sen. Ted Cruz taking a 10-point lead in Wisconsin, Donald Trump once again whined on Wednesday that the “establishment” is trying to take the nomination away from him, citing the Louisiana delegate allocation which gave Cruz more delegates even though Trump got more votes. as Exhibit A. As Breitbart News reported:

With less than a week to go until the Wisconsin primary, Trump came out swinging -- against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), against the Establishment lining up behind Cruz in order to keep Trump below 1,237 delegates so they can broker it in Cleveland, and against Cruz’s supporter Governor Scott Walker.

Maybe Trump wont win, but the Establishment isn’t going to let Cruz win either. Cleveland in July is going to be a rather “hot” town.

What Cruz doesn’t know is that if he is successful in blocking Trump, these so-called new backers are going to throw him under the bus for someone they can control.

Let's assume that this is true. At this point, so what? Why shouldn't he stop Trump? You guys seem to have the idea that Cruz should say to himself something like, 'Get the Establishment is using me and will throw me under the bus, I guess I should reject their support and just let Donald win this thing.' Why would he possibly do that?? What has Donald done to deserve an 'assist' from Cruz? You're talking about someone (Trump) who has done nothing but trash Cruz continuously for 2 months. What's that old saying about payback?

I read with interest, many of the comments at the link.

One Trump supporter managed to reply to all reasonable supporters of the columnist’s view in a most convincing manner.

Ridiculous! The establishment will tolerate neither candidate. While they sneer at and distrust Trump, they lividly hate Cruz. Ask McConnell, whose almost treasonous sell outs and lies Cruz exposed.

Cruz is on record saying that ONLY Trump and Himself are in the running for the nomination.

There will be choice other than those two.

You are a laughable, putrid troll, robotically repeating push-poll created statistics fed to the ignorant masses by MSM.

This is quite frankly the dumbest argument Cruz people make, because the inconvenient counter fact is that more people in those states reject Cruz by an even greater margin. Cruz loses either way. Deal with it, buttercup.

Neither will Cruz. And even if he does, he will lose in a landslide to Clinton. But I guess people like you will get your nominee, huh? Your lying, cheating, GOPe approved candidate.

you deserve a front row seat at President Hillarys inauguration, because you’ll be one of the major reasons for her getting elected.

Trump is done. Finished as a candidate. You can bellow how many delegates he has. But we all know that if he does not win on first ballot, he won't win.

Cruz already CAN'T win on the first ballot.

Stop sniffing the ethanol.

Plurality of delegates doesn’t count at the convention. Majority of delegates does. After the first ballot, half of the delegates are released to wheel and deal. After the second ballot, if no one can get a majority, the convention is wide open and the oligarchs start their bidding and picking. Surely both Cruz and Trump know this, and Cruz is smart enough to know that establishment hates him more than Trump. I have no idea how this will play out, but if the nominee is not one of these two, I see gunfire in our future.

Ok, so if he’s only there to be a spoiler, why would you expect Trump supporters to show up for him in November of he is somehow magically the nominee?

Here’s the answer: You can’t. Although Cruzbots will whine incessantly for months if Trump supporters abandon a hypothetical candidate Cruz.

According to the Marquette Poll, Cruz wins WI and 2 CD's. That's 24 Delegates. That means Trump wins 18. Cruz needs 85%, he gets 57%.— Bill Mitchell (@mitchellvii) April 2, 2016

As someone who would like to see the entire GOPe selling pencils on street corners, I fail to see how they are actually hurt by us abandoning the Party.

As long as they are in the Cheap Labor pipeline, and the manila envelopes stuffed with cash continue to fly in over the transom; we can all go to blazes for all THEY care. They no longer even NEED our money. They’ll accept it, but they don’t need it. The Fat Cat donors have that covered

I say, the only way to actually HURT them is to ELECT TRUMP.

It’s a win-win situation. Because either way the GOP is a dead man walking. There is no going forward form here. It is done for. How can this party possible reconcile it’s differences? The short answer is they can’t because they are irreconcilable differences.

“The GOPee (as “the other half” of the Uniparty) doesn’t care if they become irrelevant...as long as they can continue feeding at the trough of DC Money.”

Exactly. They’re also, once again, counting on many long time R voters to continue to vote that way, no matter how bad they get jerked around, just because of the illusion that voting R is better than voting D, and the “where else they gonna go?” attitude. I’ll also add that the GOPe doesn’t even really mind if Hillary is elected, because yes, not only will they still continue to feed at the DC money trough, but their globalist and North American Union agenda will continue to proceed forward.

The boys who run DC want Trump exiled to Pitcairn's Island. That is even understandable.

What I don't get is how Cruz can be called a puppet of the Establishment. Has he erred as a Senator? Of course he has.

There isn't an American politician in history who has a 100% Good Guy record by my yardstick. That's because 100% of them are and have never been smart enough to ask me how they should vote on issues.

Has Cruz supported American citizens as well as any DC denizens and better than most? It seems like he has.

When the boys in DC succeed in banishing Trump, will they really rally 'round Cruz? That would be shocking.

Of the boys in the race, I just think we need one of these two guys to get the final nod. Someone needs to wrest control of this country from obama, clinton, McConnell, Ryan and...those that have this country circling the drain. I hope in the end 1,237 delegates can be found to support one of these two guys.

From the beginning Trump would have been far better off pushing just as hard as he has against political correctness but otherwise less like a professional wrestler. If he gets to 1,237 I hope his legacy starts to mean more to him than his popularity in the next 15 minutes.

Truth hurts....

If Trump fails to win the nomination, it will because his efforts weren’t good enough to secure the 1,237 delegate votes needed.....

A contested convention because you think Trump will lose, and nominating someone else, is committing suicide to avoid being murdered.

And there’s a good chance if you hadn’t invested nearly $100M against Trump, you would have been stronger in resisting the murder.
