Someone gave us this fat ceramic horse and suggested we could sell it on eBay and retire. Well, okay, maybe make a few hundred bucks.
As far as I can tell, it's a copy of the style of horse made by a Scandinavian artist named Stig Lindberg. It could be an original, but there are no markings to indicate that.
It could also be from the Bling Dynasty, judging by the garish paint job.
That was my thought, which is why I mentioned the "Bling" Dynasty.
That's probably the best way to go. I don't necessarily want to invest a lot of time in this thing.
It's a Fujimican Rialto Door Horse from the Art Emetic Period.
The maker of this rare wonder is no doubt the Apostle Zarathud the Incorrigible, Offender of the Faith:

Someone peeled off the little sticker on the bottom that said “Made in China”.
I agree. The instant I saw the photo, it shouted “Chinese” to me.
I believe it was created by an artist who owned a really fat horse.
Smash it before you commit cultural appropriation.
The results of an image search on "ceramic horse sculpture stig lindberg" [LINK] returns a number IDed as Stigs ....but more important than the color mismatch they all have their details (saddle, straps...) painted on and not carved.
One result found on a search of just "ceramic horse" looks like a match but it's page identified it as on "Mid Century Modernist Italian Ceramic Horse" [LINK]... Here's its photo:

I found some on Ebay by Stig Lindberg that look very similar.
It’s not a draft horse...it’s a Trojan horse.
Anyone can see that. ;)
